IT'S BEEN 15 YEARS SINCE ATHENA BLACK was murdered by death eaters. Or at least that's what the Wizarding world thinks.
In fact she had no idea that wizards and magic even exist...

1ST SEPTEMBER 1976
PLATFORM 9 3/4 WAS CROWDED WITH PARENTS sending their children off to Hogwarts. Mother had a fowl look on her face as she was forced to walk past anyone who wasn't a pureblood wizard, father actually bothered to show up this year though Regulus and Athena knew this wasn't going to be a regular thing. No doubt mother had forced him out.
"Remember to stay clear of mudbloods and half bloods. I expect high grades off the pair of you!" Mother said sternly .
"Stay away from the blood traitor and make sure you don't speak to him... I don't want him anywhere near you both" Father added.
Mother had pulled Regulus aside and father had turned his attention to me.
"My sweet Athena, oh how much you've grown!" He said. "Don't cause to much trouble this year, you know how your mother is" kissing me forehead before walking back to speak to Regulus
Father has always been rather lenient with me, no doubt it was because she was his only daughter. Athena was her Fathers favourite but he is a terrible man.
Regulus had come back after talking with both mother and father. He didn't look pleased.
"Come on Regulus, let's go find Emilia she's probably waiting for us in the Slytherin compartment!" Athena said as she noticed the bitter look on Regulus face. Emilia would cheer him up.
As we made our way through the corridor of the train a voice spoke from behind us.
"Athena, Regulus!" Sirius said from behind while James Potter stood beside him protectively.
Athena turned around to see Sirius blocking the corridor to try and talk to them. How could he? He didn't write to us, not once since he left and now he wants to talk?
Athena scoffed at his lame attempt to talk to them while she walks away, leaving regulus behind. She didn't want to see his face any longer.
"Vous êtes un menteur et je ne veux rien avoir à faire avec vous!" Regulus snapped before walking away with Athena
They didn't bother to listen to what he would say, as they had already left to find Emilia.
Maybe Regulus was too harsh, they don't blame him for leaving of course, he really needed to get away from them but maybe a letter of reassurance that he was okay would have been nice.
They wasted 3 weeks looking at useless post the owl would send hoping and praying Sirius name was written at the bottom. But it never came.
As they entered the compartment at the end of the slytherin area they both noticed Emilia sat in the maroon cushion seat reading a new book. Jane Eyre is said though Athena never heard of that author.
"Your favourite set of siblings are here!" Athena announced as she immediately stood pulling her into a hug.
"Oh my goodness Athena , you just keep getting more beautiful each time I see you!" Emilia said as she pulled away from the hug reaching for regulus , though she had to stand on here toes.
Emilia and Regulus hug lasted longer than Athenas, it was almost as if Emilia forgot she was there.
"I wish I could've wrote more but the owl post is awful in Italy... we stayed longer than usual there , Evan got bored to quickly!" She laughed "He misses you Regulus, I think you should see him, he's sat with Barty!"
"How is he, we didn't speak as much as I liked" Regulus said
"Oh Yano he's still an annoying prat but he's doing alright, dad's been spending more time with him, I think he's preparing him for when he works in the ministry, not really sure though" she struggled.
"How was your holiday, you both were very vague in your letters!" She said
Regulus and Athena both turned to look at eachother, Athena signed, she's find out eventually....
"Erm not the best to be honest... Sirius is living with the Potters now so...."
"He got himself disowned!" Regulus said bitterly.
Athena saw Emilia eyes widened and her mouth fell lightly.
"And how are you both feeling about it?" She asked, she always cared about our feelings and never judged.
"We understand why he left, mother was never the best towards him, but he could have wrote to us ... tell us he's alright but he never did!" Athena said quietly
"He totally forgot about us Emilia, he spends one day with the Potters and forgot about who is real family are!" Regulus snapped.
Emilia nodded in understanding and just pulled them into another hug. We didn't speak about him the rest of the train journey but instead snacked on an array of different sweets and chocolate while laughing at Emilia stories from Italy.

Also Orion ( their father) doesn't treat Athena bad . It will be explained later on in the story as I've added a plot with them.
