Me and Draco agreed to be friends. It was more fun being his friend than I expected. He was funny when he wanted to, and I enjoyed his company. "You're not the smartest in class." I say. "Yeah, watch this then." He snaps back as he picks up the plant roughly.

I chuckled to myself as I watched his proud expression. Professor Sprout screeched as she yelled, "Draco Malfoy put that down!" Draco whipped his head in the direction of Professor as everyone turned to Draco. But it was too late as the plant grew massive black thorns. Draco's smirk faded as the plant pricked his hand making him yell in pain.

I laughed along with the rest of the class as Professor came to his aid. "Get it off!" He shouted. She stunned the plant picking it up slowly from his hand. "Draco, have you learnt nothing in this class?" She asks.
"Clearly." I say under my breath. He glared at me, "Shut it Serene." He snaps. I laugh more at his face, he couldn't help but smile too. Professor sprout took the plant and continued the class as I helped Draco out with his wounds.
"I told you that you weren't the smartest." I smirked. He rolled his eyes as I bandaged his hand up.
"Careful," he winced. "Cry about it Malfoy. You're fine."

He looks up at me and smiles, "I looked pretty cool holding that plant though, didn't I?" He smirked. I rolled my eyes playfully, "You did, but it was pretty stupid, wasn't it." I responded as I patted his hand. "Ow!" He winced again. I walked over to Sophia and smiled as I saw she was busy talking to Xavier.

"Not interrupting am I?" I ask. They both turn to me, Sophia was red. "No, just talking to Soph about the upcoming Quidditch match." He responds. I turn to Sophia confused, she hates quidditch, thinks it's too rough and dirty.
"Oh well Sophia-"
"I love quidditch, I was just talking to him about how fun it is to watch." She cuts me off.

She gives me a corresponding look and I understand as I turn back to Xavier, "Right. She loves quidditch, never stops talking about it." I dragged out the lie.
"Oh really? You two should come to the game." He says.

I smile big as I look at Sophia, "I can get you girl's special seats by my mates. Clear view no crowding. You'd love it Sophia." He says. Sophia laughs to herself as she smiles at Xavier, "I would." She lies.
He smiles at her before saying, "Great, I'll see you there."

He walks away and she turns back to me. "Are you kidding, I hate quidditch." She says through clenched teeth. I laughed, "Well you lied, I just played along." She groans as she fixes her pearl headband, "It's so yucky." She shivers. I roll my eye as Draco taps on my shoulder.

"What?" I say turning to him. "You girls should come sit with us today." He says. I look back at Sophia but she cuts me off, "Of course we will Draco. Thanks." She says. He looks from Sophia to me with a smirk, "Great." He pats my shoulder and walks away. I press my lips together, "I don't sitting with them is the best idea." I say

"Just let it be, and I can stare at Xavier the whole time." She sighs. I laugh as I pick up my stuff.

The table is lively, but awkward. Sophia is having a good time with Xavier, Blaise and Theo while I'm being stared at by Pansy. I pick up my knife and fork, it makes a slight noise as it scraps the plate.
"Can you not." She snaps.
I look up at her and press my lips together, "Relax Pansy, your panties in a twist?" I ask sarcastically.

She glares at me, "In fact they are, why are you sitting here?" She asks. I went to respond but Draco cut me off. "Because I asked her too. Have an issue?"
She looks to Draco and frowns, "She's sitting in my seat Draco, you know I always sit there." She whines. He rolled his eyes, "There aren't assigned seating," he says.

"Yes there is, you always sit there, I'm always beside you. Theo sits there beside Xavier and then Daphne and then Blaise. And Serene and Sophia sit in the toilets like the losers they are." She rants.
"Hey, we don't sit in the toilets." I say. She rolled her eyes, "Right, why don't you just crawl back into the whole you crawled out off."

I scoff laughing, "You're pathetic."
Draco shakes his head as he puts his cutlery down, "I don't want to sit here and watch you girls fight, Pansy if you don't like it so much why don't you just leave."

The group went silent as they watched Pansy. She glared at Draco and picked up her bag stepping out from the table to walk away, "Don't forget your puppy too." Sophia called after her.
"Daphne come on!" She yelled at her. Daphne got up and left quickly. I smiled to myself in victory, "Thanks best friend." I smile.
"Oh so we're in best friend's level now?" He asks me his tone playful.

"Yeah duh, you're just not my best, best friend." I say. "Yeah because I am." Sophia pops her head from behind me. "Draco laughs, "Sophia I think you've got some competition." He says. She narrowed her eyes on Draco, "No chance. I've been here for 6 years, you've been here for a hefty... 2 month?" She pretends to count.

He scoffs, "Game on."
