Regular classes were back and everything was back to normal again. Other than the fact that Draco's as acting strangely weird lately.
"Ow!" I yelped as I was I was roughly bumped into by Pansy. She glared at me as she sat in her seat a few away from me. I scoffed as I leaned my chair back towards Draco, "She's so petty, it's heartbreaking." I said sarcastically.
He only hummed as he played with his quill.

I narrowed my eyes at him as I tried to read him, but like always. He's unreadable. "Are you okay, Draco?" I ask him quietly. Maybe something was wrong, so I lowered my tone but he only shook his head as he continued to play with his quill in his hands.

I stare hard at him, confused about why he's being so quiet towards me. But then James taps my shoulder bringing me back to where I was.
"Hey Serene," he smirks as he sits beside me. I smile at him as he turns to Draco, "Hey Draco." he says to him.

Draco looks at and says hey back, but it was mumbled and sounded as if he was unbothered. James looked at me looking for answers, I only shrugged since I didn't know why either. I felt confused because Draco would not tell me anything. This was taking a toll on me. But those thoughts instantly vanished when I saw James' beautiful face again.
Butterflies filled my stomach and I felt lucky to have James, even though he could be the biggest prick ever.

I had a free period and I was using that time to finish reading the book that my father had lent me. It was a muggle book, called Little Woman. If I'm being honest, the best books are muggle books, they are so interesting. As I was getting to the good part of the current chapter I was on I heard my name being called. I looked up from my book, Sophia was running into the common room and when she was in front of me she was out of breath.

"Serene!" she puffed as she held her knees. I only looked at her funny, "what's wrong?" I asked confused but also unbothered because Sophia seemed to always exaggerate a regular situation. Buy what came out her mouth next made me drop my book.

"Astoria Greengrass, she's here," Sophia said trying to catch her breath. I lunged up by instinct, "No." was all I could let out.
"She's, she's in Slytherin." She says as she collapses onto the nearby chair. But I was too flabbergasted by Astoria to worry about Sophia.
And speaking of the devil, here she walks in arms linked with Draco.

She's smiling widely as he's speaking to her. I couldn't make out what he was saying but I assume he's probably showing her around.
She looks around till her brown eyes meet my icy eyes and we make hard eye contact. She's narrows them on mine and I don't give in. I won't let her win.
But Draco is cute as he directs her up towards the dorms.

"I feel sick." Sophia groans, "I can't believe she's here. A student here? That's ridiculous." I scoff crossing my arms over my chest. "What's ridiculous?" Pansy's snobby face perks my ears. I couldn't help but smirk as I faced her pug-like face. She has no idea.

"Oh, Pansy looks like you're no longer Draco's main whore." I coo cocking my head to the obnoxiously placing my hand on my hip.
She looks at me confused, "Just because you've slept with Draco once doesn't mean you're all of a sudden his-"

"No, no silly." I cut her off laughing. She blinks at me confused, "Astoria. She's here now, and looks like Draco's showing her around the... dorms. His specifically."

I watch as Pansy's eyes go wide in horror, or shock I can't tell the difference. The corners of my mouth curve into the most satisfying smile as I watch Pansy go into a panic state. "Why didn't you tell me, Daphne!" She yells at Daphne. Daphne stutters as she tries to make her words, "I-I she told me not to tell you." She lets out quietly.

"Ugh! You're ridiculous." She screams at Daphne, grabbing her firmly by the wrist as they walk away together. Xavier and James walk in talking to one another as they come over towards me and Sophia.
Sophia had caught her breath as she leapt up wrapped her arms around Xav's neck and kissed him.

I smiled at James, it was still devious, and he noticed. "What do you have such an evil smile across your face for?" He asks me. I scoff playfully, "Just tell Pansy that Draco's found his new replacement. Astoria Greengrass has moved here." I tell James.
"Wow?" He says. I nod my head as I take his hand. He sits down on the velvet sofa and I sit beside him leaning my head on his shoulder.

"School is going to get very interesting now." I hum under my breath as I watch the fire burn the wood slowly.

Ever since Astoria has made her mark here at Hogwarts it seems that Pansy has been getting a little moodier than usual. I mean, she wasn't leader of their group anymore, Astoria was. And Astoria was clinging to Draco all the time, the same way Pansy was.

She was jealous, and she was taking it out on me. Some days I'll fire back at her but I was getting tired of her. I was walking down the hallways in my own looking for Pansy, to tell her to leave me the fuck alone. But instead I saw Daphne, reading a book?
A muggle book specifically. She seems busy but my curiosity got the best of me so I clear my throat. She looks up and she turns as white as a ghost. She hides the book under her lap as she pretends like she wasn't doing anything.
"Daphne?" I say quietly.

She looks at me nervous, as if she's been caught doing something she shouldn't be doing. But she's reading a book? Then I remembered that she's friends with Pansy, she's a dumb as a dog and hates reading, she's said it a be. She lets out a little smile as she blushed sheepishly, "It's good for me. Helps me from not stressing." Daphne tells me.
"I have anxiety, so..." she trails off.

My mouth forms a tiny 'o' shape as I had no idea. "I didn't know that Daphne. Gosh, you're always so-"
"Mean? I try to be. I'm mean, I don't even want to be mean. I just stress out about people talking about me, boys talking about me." She finishes.

"I mean," she lets out a forced laugh, "I lost my virginity to Xavier, and he told everyone. Everyone knew and everyone knew how it it, which wasn't good."
"I remember," I muttered.

"I was bullied, and Pansy didn't do anything to help me. I mean she ignored me till the gossip died down, but for those few days I felt so alone." I watched as Daphne's eyes filled with tears slightly, "It just want fair that she talks to people about what a good person she is, but she's never been good. Not even to me."

Me and Daphne sat there in silence for a little, she just stared hard at her hands as she tried to calm herself down. I rested my hand on her back soothingly as I comforted her, "If Pansy isn't good for you, you should drop her." I told her.
She tensed up as she heard that, "Drop her? But-but how-"
"Daphne."

She turned to me her eyes were wide as the thought crossed her mind. "You'll be free of her stress. You'll be able to read books, act the way you want. Not make up a character to fit her. You can be Daphne Greengrass." I assured her. She slightly smiled at that, "I'll be me." She repeated.

I smile as I watch the confidence come back to her. She smiled at me as she grabs her book again, "Then, who will I hang out with?" She asks me quickly. I laugh, "Me and Sophia could use some extra help."

She laughs back at me as she smiles, the first real smile she's done in a long time.
