Spring Break

Happy Spring Break! It's mid-March now. School has been stressful but the the third quarter just ended. My mom and I have gotten better and Lydia is not pregnant. We decided for spring break we were going to rent an RV and drive to the Grand Canyon. You might be thinking that this was very random. I know it was. We already go to the beach over Thanksgiving break. We live in Colorado so there are lots of mountains and places to ski. We either go nowhere or somewhere random. It's with the friend group. Anything's fun. The boys got permits for being able to drive the RV. It is big for an RV, but that is still very small. We will be crammed but it's not the end of the world. There was one good-sized bedroom that we would all be taking turns in. A pullout couch that can sleep two. There is also a "bed" above the driver's seat. It's more of a loft you can sleep in.

Today is Saturday and we will get back on Wednesday. I got fit for my prosthetic last week, and I got my actual prosthetic on Thursday. I can't wait. I don't think I'm going to be able to do any hiking at the Grand Canyon. It just doesn't make sense whatsoever with one leg and crutches. I would have to be carried the whole time. I'm so done being carried, it's humiliating. It sucks because it's so easy for the guys to do it. They are huge and athletic for their age and I'm below average for both height and weight. This will be an interesting trip. I have planned it out well for campsites and stuff. The only thing I'm not prepared for is the amount of PDAs that Lydia and Jackson are going to share in the small space.

I was lying in bed on my phone around eight a.m. when Connor walked in. He was sweaty and just got back from a run. I didn't need to be out of bed for another thirty minutes because we were leaving around ten and I was mostly packed.

"Good morning baby," he said.

I smiled and scrunched my nose while motioning for him to kiss me. He rolled his eyes and came over, bent down, and gave me a peck.

"I'm going to get in the shower. See you soon," he said.
"Ok, love you."

I watched him walk out of the door and I eventually heard the water turn on. I was making sure everything was looking okay for the trip, bookings, people, luggage, etc. I love being the mom/planner of the group. Although I might be considered a kid because of my leg and how much help I need, I am the mom of the group.

The thirty minutes were eventually up. I groaned.

"What's wrong honey?" He asked while walking in.
"Just tired."

I swung my leg off of my bed and rubbed my eyes. He came over and lifted me against him while I stood on my leg.

"I can get you ready," he smiled.
I laughed so loud.
"What?"
"It's complicated but I guess you can try."
He smiled.
"Grab my skincare tray."

He grabbed my big grey tray and put it next to me on the bed.

"Start with toner. It's in the green bottle."

He picked it up and opened the lid. He spilled it on himself and then got it on his hand. He rubbed it all over my face. He put eye cream and then moisturizer on.

"Don't rub in the moisturizer yet. Grab my makeup bag."

I sounded demanding but I didn't mean it.

"Those are bronzing drops. You mix it with my moisturizer."
"Ew, it's brown."
I laughed.

He rubbed it on my face. I was praying it looked okay. I gave him concealer, blush, bronzer, and mascara tutorials. He did okay, for a guy.

"I'm going to go look," I had said.
He nodded.

I hopped up and saw it.

"Awww it looks so good Con."
