imagine; the gladers and minho almost lose you, when you get hurt in the maze while running.warning! small mention of blood, and almost death.
MINHO
SEPARATED
it all happened so fast, a few minutes ago, i was down a passage while minho was still making sure we were going down the right path. now, i don't know what happened, or why, but the walls began to move in broad daylight.unfortunately, minho was unable to squeeze through one of the moving walls, and we had gotten separated. luckily, though, i've been a runner as long as minho has, so maybe there's still a way i can get to him without getting stuck here for the night.
'without dying.' i thought to myself.
"minho!" i yelled, loud enough to see if it could travel far. chances are it didn't, as i didn't or couldn't get a response back. i wonder what he was doing, i wonder if he was trying to find a way to try and find me, or going back to the maze to tell the others what happened.
minho isn't like that though, he loves me. i bet he's running his ass off, trying to find an opening right now. i sighed, wiping off the sweat from my forehead, jogging to the passage way i've engraved into my head.
my head turned upwards, trying to avoid the rays of sunlight as i tried to figure out how much time i had left before the maze closed. judging by how the sun is beginning to lean over the walls, i only had about 2-4 hours to hopefully find minho and go back to the glade.
i was beginning to get tired, but i knew i couldn't stop and waste time. i need all the time i can get, even if it means running with the headache i can feel coming on. "fuck." i groan, my footsteps suddenly feeling like 10 bricks pounding at my head.
trying to ignore the ache, i reach for my little bag and grab my water flask, taking two sips before putting it back. 'i kinda miss minho already.' i think to myself, before beginning to lightly jog again, navigating myself. minho was probably killing himself for letting me wander off too far, i wish i was there to reassure him that it wasn't his fault. ill do that later, after i make it back.
looking down two large passage ways, im stumped. i can't remember if i go left, or straight. i now remember that this was the pathway minho always remembered for me, when we were running in section 7. how unlucky.
just as im about to head down straight (the longer hallway), i can feel strong vibrations on the ground. confused, i begin to look around, and thats when i hear an almost mechanical-like roar. instantly, i know it's a griever. "shit, whats a griever doing out so early?!" i panic, talking to myself. a shiver coming up my spine, when i can feel the vibrations getting stronger, and closer.
finally, i can see a glimpse of the griever, and it's down the passage i was about to go down. thank the lord, that its the longest one. as soon as i see it, im already halfway down the other passage, running like i'm some sort of track all-star athlete.
