Chapter 4:Bus Break!

I get out of Quantum's lap, my legs ached but I went to the bathroom anyways. "Mirabella!" I say "What are you doing?!" "Just touching up my makeup, although someone like you won't understand, oh Friday I just wanted to say, is Quantum your brother and if he is do you think your he likes me? I mean he is pretty hot, and I want him to be mine." Mirabella remarked. I roll my eyes and go back to the bus. I grab Quantum's wallet and turn around. Ahead I saw Ian, without thinking I run up to him (I was surprisingly fast). "Do you want anything?" I ask "Quantum is like a millionaire so tell me what you want I'll get it." "Um... yes," Ian says sheepishly "Can you get me some gum," "sure but do you want any snacks!" I interrupt "No," he replies. I rush towards the petrol pump, and grabbed all the snacks in sight. I give Quantum's card to the cashier. Even with all these snacks I didn't even make a dent in Quantum's account.

I rush back to the bus, handing out snacks for everyone. (I got a few extra in my bag for myself) I even gave Mr. Fontana a packets of Pringles mainly because I wanted a better grade in P.E.

"Hey Ian, Here's your gum," I say as I hand him the gum. "Someone looks happy, why are you all cheerful today?, do you always act like this after a nap?" He asks. "No" I reply, now even I was confused I never acted like this before. Is it because the presence of my siblings or what. "Move aside nerd!" Mirabella sneered. Urgh I was sick of her being so rude and annoying. "Hey nobody talks to my sister like that!" Quantum declared "Shut up," I say, moving towards the front. All of a sudden I felt agitated of Quantum's presence.

Halley was unusually quiet, "Esne bonus?" (Are you ok?) I ask. We used Latin as our secret language when we were younger since everyone thought it was dead. "Yeah, aliquantulus defessus," (I'm alright) Halley replies. "Quantum hic non utinam, praesentia eius me necat."(I wish he wasn't here, his presence is killing me) "Hey what are you to gossiping about, also why did Halley say my name," Quantum interrupts. "No reason" I quickly reply and sit in his lap.

We started to get a move on, finally I thought we finally are starting to move. The tall city buildings disappeared from view. All I could see were the tall hills and greenery surrounding us. "Cur Ian gum tu das ei, tu similis illi?" (Why did you give Ian the gum, do you like him) Halley asked me. "Non, plus nemo tui buisness" (I do not plus none of your business) I replied then looked away and flushed pink. "Maybe ego similis ei sed ne quis dicere," (Maybe I do like him but don't tell anyone) I mumbled. "Is it a bad time to say that I am fluent in Latin?" Melanie says. I stare at her in horror, Not knowing what to do.
