We sat in a back room and waited for Dr. Neil.

"What happened?" Mark asked, leaning back in his chair.

"I don't know..." I said.

"I guess I just stepped back and my foot landed on a sharp slippery rock. I fell, and I haven't been able to stand."

"Ok." He said, standing up. He walked over to the bag and pulled out two of his shirts, one each for Amy and I. He sat back down and Amy and I put the shirts on.

Just then the door opened and a man walked in. Mark stood up and gave the man a hug.

"How've you been Mark?" The man asked, patting him on the back.

"Pretty good. I got the girls back." he responded, motioning to Amy and I. I tried to stand up to shake his hand, but I fell back on my butt. Mark helped me stand.

"I'm Dr. Neil." He said, shaking my hand.

"I was a friend of your parents and was your doctor when you were little. All of you." He said looking around the room.

"Nice to meet you Doctor." Was the only thing I could think to say. He shook hands with Amy, and we all sat down.

"So why'd you lot come to visit me?" He asked. Mark relayed the story to him and then lifted me onto the examination table. I had never been to the doctors, so I was confused. Dr.Neil rubbed my ankle and I winced.

"Sorry darling" he said, checking my heart rate and blood pressure. "I think your ankles broken, but I'll have to do an x-Ray.

Mark, give her a hand and follow me."

"Again? She weighs a ton." Mark teased. I punched his arm as he picked me up. His shirt was still wet and I stuck to him. "Keep that up Allie and I might just drop you." He said smiling as he carried me out of the room. Amy followed behind and we walked into a sterile looking room. Mark laid me down on a metal table and Dr. Neil brought over a large lamp looking thing.

"This is the X-Ray" he explained "I'll scan your ankle and see what it looks like." I closed my eyes as a combination of beeps exploded from the machine. "All done." Dr. Neil said, as the door opened.

"Umm, Dr. Neil, there is someone on the phone for you. He says his name is Clery." The secretary said poking her head through the door. His face turned white

"Tell him I'll be with him in a moment." The secretary left, closing the door behind her.

"I'll finish working with you guys before I go talk to your uncle. Alexis, your ankle is broken." I sighed, sitting up on the table. "We'll have to give you a cast and you will have to stay off of it for about four weeks. It's a minor break and you might be able to get away with three. Amy, do you need to be looked at?" She looked at me.

"You could look at her arm. I think she broke it about a week ago and we never got it looked at."

"Okie doke. Amy, sit right next to your sister and I'll look at it." She climbed up onto the table and he examined her arm. Dr. Neil had Mark move me again so that he could X-Ray Amy's arm. "Amy, when you broke your arm, did you put anything around it to support it?"

"We wrapped it most of the time. Why?" she asked.

"Because when it healed it healed incorrectly. In order to fix that, we'll have to break it again." She moaned. I limped over to her and she leaned on my shoulder.

"Will it hurt?" She asked between sniffles.

"You'll be asleep dear, and we will put a proper cast on afterward." Dr. Neil explained. She stopped crying and nodded. "Okay. Let's get this over with." Mark and I went back to the room, and Dr. Neil took Amy to get the procedure done.

"Why do you think Clery called?" I asked Mark once we were alone.

"I don't know. He might be trying to figure out where we are. Probably has called every person that was associated with our parents." I sighed and leaned my head back. I closed my eyes, then fell asleep.
