I lay on my bed my bed, tired. I stare up at the ceiling. I keep staring at the ceiling until someone knocks on my bedroom door. After a few minutes later, a maid walks in. She was holding a letter in her hand. I look at the letter which she gives to me. I stare at the letter and then look at her. It was a letter from the royals.
"...?"
The royals rarely send the nobles' letters but it looks like it's related to the upcoming summer festival.
The summer festival must mean a lot to the royals since it's the starting of the summer.
The summer festival is usually hosted by the royals .
Long ago, the people of this land struggled to survive through the cold winters. The people prayed for the goddess to bring their land relief from the cold and allow their crops to grow in abundance. The goddess heard the people's prayers and granted their desire, bringing warmth and fertility to the land. Since then, the people have celebrated the summer festival annually in her honour, thankful for the goddess's benevolence.
The common people throw flowers on the path of the royals' carriage as they think that the royals are the descendants of the summer goddess.
The nobles who hold high ranks are said to be descendants of a particular god/ goddess.
For example, our surname 'levese' means spring and we are supposed to be the descendants of the spring god.
The royals' surname is 'Von Aetha' which means summer and they are supposed to be descendants of the summer goddess or the northern duchy, whose surname is 'aquilon' meaning Northern winter winds and they are supposed to be the descendants of the winter god.
It's bizarre. I mean, how can humans be descendants of Gods? Unless we are demi gods which ofcourse is not true.
The winter god was supposed to be the lover of summer goddess but he ended up falling in love with another god. Our kingdom's myth is really weird.
The winter god created winter on our kingdom to balance the summer.
People usually say that the summer goddess or the winter god is really strong but Secretly, I think spring god is stronger since the flowers which has been destroyed by the summer or winter blooms only during spring, right? Or am I also crazy?
Anyways, I stare at the letter, wondering of I should open it or not.

After thinking for a few minutes (I don't know why it took me so long to think whether I should open a letter or not, maybe because I don't like the royals because they have a lot of pride, but hey! Even the northern dukes have a lot of pride. We are the only nice ones!!) I open the letter. I stare at the letter , who writes such a short letter?!

I write this letter to inform you of the upcoming royal event in the vespera grand hall on the imperial date 367 .It is an momentous occasion for our kingdom as we celebrate the passing of the seasons and the coming of summer.
I kindly request your attendance at the event, as your presence is highly valued. The celebrations will be truly splendid and the hospitality of our kingdom will be unmatched.
Please confirm your attendance at your earliest convenience. We look forward to seeing you.

I mean, it does give us important details but I thought they would send regards as well. These royals! But I can't hate them even if I want to because I don't want to losemy life, and I heard that the crown prince is really handsome but I'm straight!! Right? And who even wants to marry a cruel king. Even the current emperor has 2 wives. And I heard that the emperor has 2 sons and 1 daughter.
The empress hates the second wife ( I think I would call them sisters but the second queen is really evil so nah! It's better if I don't). I mean don't blame the empress hating the second queen because the second queen is kinda ugly( I'm not lying!) and is a pedophile( sorry but I ended up revealing her secrets!).
I mean, she's kinda crazy . She lives money and men who are younger then her ( Like seriously?!).
I wouldn't be surprised if she married the first empress' son but nah! The first empress' son hates his step brother and sister and especially the second queen.
