The Rejected Mate

Chapter 21

Kendall's P.O.V

You know that feeling you get when you know someone's eyes are on you but you don't want to look. Ok now try and imagine that feeling times how many pack members I was surrounded by. And now, Maybe just Maybe, you'll have an idea of how I felt right now.

After the scene Lacey had caused, Alec had awkwardly announced that we were going to the backyard so he can introduce us to his pack, and why we were here.

We had walked through the too familiar walls of the pack house and out the back door where most of the pack was.

Children that were previously playing had stopped and stared at us with wide eyes, teens and adults stopped talking and did the same.

What was their problems? Can't they mind their own damn business?

An eerie silence was brought upon both packs, each pack having a stare off with each other. Familiar faces made eye contact with me and their eyes showed surprise.

What did they not think I would still be alive? Well, think again, bitch.

Alec cleared his throat and all eyes were brought to him, much to my dismay. That's how bad it was! I couldn't bare even looking at him without feeling disgusted or having all the memories come back to me.

"Uh, Wolfsbane Pack, I'd like to welcome you to our pack for the time being. After an unfortunate chain of events, my pack became weak. So with your help, you can aid us on getting back on our feet. With that we will be out of your fur. In a way to thank you, we'd like to invite your pack members to a bonfire we'll be having tomorrow night." Alec announced. His voice showed power and authority.

Which made Lily prance around wanting for her mate to keep talking.

"Will there be s'mores?" Sam questioned, her arms crossed over her chest. She was glaring at Alec waiting for him to respond.

"Yeah?"

"Then we're in."

Yup that's my pack, thinking of food before anything else. Was there any pack better than ours?

After we spent an hour of talking, mostly amongst ourselves but sometimes with the other pack members, Alec had met up with us to take us to where we'll be staying.

They must have built this when I was gone because beside the pack house was a whole other house that was just as grand.

"This is our guest house, where you guy's will be staying. However, there isn't enough room's to fit you all so, there's going to have to be 3 people per room." The jerk advised as he handed the keys to the house to Lucas.

Lucas gave him a fake smile, and snatched them from his hands. Did I mention how much I love him?

Everyone had scrambled to find their roommates, except for me I just stood there looking at the house before us.

"Kendall, if you already rooming with someone you better kick them out because Sam left us for Rena and Francesca." Lacey pouted as she shoved her way towards me.

I meant it literally, she had shoved a couple of people down and didn't once look back because they knew not to mess with the strong blonde.

"Don't worry, I haven't found anyone to room with other than you." I admitted. I could feel Alec's eyes were burning holes through the back of my head and I couldn't help myself but blush.

Damn you cheeks.

"Come here you mutt. Cory's being an ass and doesn't want to room with me so I guess you're stuck with me now." Greyson beamed, wrapping his arm around my neck.

I chuckled and removed myself from his grip. I guess I have my roommates now.

After everyone had finally chosen their roommates, they all went dashing to the house all wanting to get the second biggest room. The biggest would obviously be for Lucas since he is the Alpha.

Everyone except Lacey, Cory, Sam, Greyson, Lucas, and I, went inside. The five of us stayed out here, with Alec.

"Um thank you for the invitation to the bonfire, we'll be there. What time is it at?" Lucas asked.

When there was no response, I looked over at Alec. Only to see him looking back at me with a dazed expression.

"Hello?"

I waved my hand in front of his face which caused him to snap out of whatever trance he was in.

"Huh, what?"

The five of us erupted in laughter as Alec's cheeks turned a pale pink much like the color of his lips. Oh god, those lips could tempt a nun.

WAIT WHAT? No, they can't and they won't.

"The bonfire? What time is it at Alpha?" Cory teased snickering and raising his eyebrows at me. That dick.

Oh he was going to get it.

"Oh yeah its tomorrow at 10." He answered. Lucas nodded and began to walk back to the pack house, all of us following suit. As I was leaving I heard Alec mumble something below his breath.

"Goodnight princess."

But I mean come on, he probably said something else but I just misunderstood him. Yeah that's it, I heard him wrong.

Boyah baby! We have reached 6k reads. Past half a million! Can we keep it coming? I think yeah!

I kinda hate this chapter but a lot of you wanted me to update.

Sorry if it doesn't live up to your expectations but it's more of a filler chapetr tbh.

Next chapter will be better.

Thoughts on what will happen in the bonfire?

Love you guys so much!
