The Rejected Mate

Chapter 3

Kendall P.O.V

Come on. Yes walk into my web you worthless animal. Wow how did we end up here? Anyways I was currently stalking a rabbit.

The beige rabbit jumped and sniffed the air. I have no idea how he hasn't seen me yet. I was a red wolf in green grass. I guess rabbits are color blind.

He jumped right into the hole I dug with my paws. I quickly pounced and attacked the merciless rabbit. YES! Jackpot! I quickly devoured the animal to pieces.

Instantly I felt guilty so I buried the bones in the same whole where he was killed in.

It's been weeks I think since I left the Moonlight Pack and sometimes I feel like I regret the decision I made. But then I remember what those people did to my wolf and I.

Talking about wolves I have been in my wolf form the whole time since I've left the pack and I hated it. My paws felt sore and my body ached.

The rabbit I brutally murdered was the only thing I had to eat other than grass and trust me when I saw this it's disgusting.

My bones shifted on their own accord and I was back in my human form. I frowned in confusion and reached out to my wolf.

'What's going on lily' I asked utterly scared and confused.

' I can't stay like this much longer. I need to rest in order to keep us alive. At least for a couple days sorry Kendall." She sighed as she mentally blocked me.

It's ok. I mean it's not like I can die right? Wrong! I'm in another packs territory and I'm a known as what they call a rouge which is a wolf without a pack.

If they catch me they will without a doubt kill me. I sighed and opened my bag for a change of clothes. I walked a little ways until I just couldn't walk anymore. I have no idea where I'm going.

The sun was soon to go down and I had no place to stay in again. The sound of running water brought me out of my thoughts. A smile formed on my face as I ran to the source of the sound.

I plunged my hands in the water and drank like there was no tomorrow. Finally satisfied I decided to take shelter on a tree. I extended my claws and began to climb the tree. I sat down on the thickest branch and soon my eyelids became heavy and I was out cold.

The sounds of leaves crunching and footsteps approaching jerked me awake. It was pitch black but my night vision made it a little but more clearer.

Oh come on give me a break! I don't even think I am in anyone's pack. Psh it's probably only a forest animal that's walking by. Calm yourself Kendall.

More footsteps came and I began to freak out. So much for keeping myself calm! I thought peaceful thoughts like that the footsteps were of a little pink unicorn who came to poop rainbows but needed to pass by.

Suddenly a caramel wolf jumped from the bushes in front of the tree which I was currently perched in. I squeezed my eyes shut and prayed to the Moon Goddess that he didn't see me.

It sniffed the air and pointed its large snout to the sky. As soon as he lifted his head his eyes turned darker. He snarled and growled and searched around the dark forest.

It sniffed again and snapped its head towards my direction. A creepy looking grin formed in its mouth. Well shit.

He ran towards my tree and began to climb it. "Oh no." I whispered. The wolf kept climbing until he was close enough. Lily! Help me! I begged to my still sleepy wolf.

When she didn't answer I knew I was screwed. The only way to get out of here was to jump the tree. I didn't tell you how tall the tree was? Well it's FREAKING HUGE.

I gulped and looked down. The wolf was now on the same branch as I was in. I scooted the farthest I could away from it and prayed that I would survive. It snarled and bared its teeth at me before trying to chimp on my left leg.

I squealed and jumped from the branch. Bad idea. I fell quicker and harder than I thought.

A muffled "Omph" came out if my mouth as I landed with my back facing up. Mud, leaves, sticks, and many other things were invading my body. I felt sick to the stomach and super dizzy. Liquid was oozing out of my head and arms.

I groaned and looked up where the wolf was supposed to be. But it wasn't there. It was now on the ground next to me looking into space. Mind linking probably.

He looked at me and rolled its eyes in annoyance before rolling me over and picking me up on it's back. Black dots danced in my vision and before I knew it I was again blacked out.

God damn it! After the war we had with the neighborhood pack, all of my pack warriors were wiped out. Dead. Muerto.

Our pack was at its most vulnerable and until we had pack warriors to fight with, our pack is on complete and utter shit.

Dad you might want to get down here like now. My eldest if my twin boys chanted in my head.

Let me finish this paperwork and I'll be right there. I swear to god Greyson of this is another prank I will personally rip your head off. I growled as I winced at last weeks prank. My butt was still numb!

He chuckled before answering. Don't worry dad but we got ourselves quite the catch over here. Meet me in the pack doctor's office.

I sighed and wiped my face with my hands. Here we go I hope I won't get ambushed again.

I walked to the infirmary and met Greyson there. "Follow me." He leaded me to a room where a small blonde was in the bed. "Rouge." I hissed out. "I found her at the south border up in a tree. I climbed it to reach her and she freaking jumped off the tree." He exclaimed while his eyes glazed in amusement.

"Tough girl. But she has no reason to be on my territory." I growled while puffing my chest. "We'll question her when she wakes for know keep watch over her." I commanded. He nodded and took a seat on the couch beside the couch.

I walked out and was back into my office again. Something about this rouge had my mind racing and I didn't know why. I ignored it and continued with my Alpha duties.
