Harry's Second Chance

The Baby

As Harry and Ginny walked back to the common room from a stroll through the grounds they heard a scream from behind the portrait that led to their common room.
Quickly they rushed in to find Tatumn on the floor clutching her massive stomach. And Sirius sitting right by her trying to help. But any time he tried to touch her she would scream at him not to touch her.
"Tatumn!" Ginny squeaked, running over to help her up.
"Ginny I'm scared." She cried.
"Harry!" Ginny growled. As he stood there shocked.
"Bloody hell." he muttered racing forward to pick Tatumn up.
"Ginny send your patronus to Remus and Tonks. Sirius alert Professor Dumbledore." Harry instructed.
"No, she doesn't want me to-" he said.
"Sirius we haven't the time for your crap now go." Harry cut him off.
Harry set off with Tatumn cradled carefully in his arms. Ginny right behind him. As they neared the hospital wing Harry started yelling.
"Poppy!" He yelled. "Help its Tatumn. Her waters broke."
He kicked the door again.
"Calm down Harry. Quickly place her over there." Harry rushed in and gently placed Tatumn in the bed.
"Are Remus and Tonks on their way?" Harry asked Ginny.
"Yes. They should be arriving at any moment." She told him.
"Alright let's go meet them." Harry said letting go of Tatumn's hang.
"No Harry. Don't leave me." She cried. Harry looked at Ginny. And she said
"Harry you stay I'll go get them." He nodded.
"If you see Sirius out there send him in." He called after her.

"It's going to be okay Tatumn. Everything's going to be okay." He told her.

"Harry she isn't supposed to be here for three more weeks." Tatumn cried.

"Don't worry. Madam Pomfrey will do everything to make sure you two are okay." He reassured her.

"Harry you have to promise me something." She told him.

"Anything." Harry said

"Don't let Sirius in here. I'm sure I'm going to be tired and sleep for a while and I don't want him near her." She sobbed.

"Tatumn." Harry whispered.

"No Harry. He doesn't want her. And I'm not letting her be rejected by him." She said sternly.

"Okay, now rest." He said quietly.

Harry waited for a few more minutes. Only once had Tatumn squeezed his hand.

"Harry." Ginny called quietly.

"Yes?"

"You can come out now. Remus and Tonks are here." She said softly.

"Alright." Harry said. No matter how much he loved Tatumn there was no way he wanted to whiteness that.

"And Sirius? Has anybody seen him?" He asked her

"Remus may have seen him on his way in." She mumbled.

"Oh. And how did that go?" Harry asked curiously.

"Well Sirius now has a black eye to match his black heart." She grumbled.

"Hey. I'm not happy with him either but a baby is about to be born. That's something to celebrate." He told her.

"Yes. A crying, pooping, keep you up all night baby. And to a girl who can't even take care of herself really." Ginny rattled.

"Fifteen isn't that young Gin. It's going to be hard for her yes, but she is going have loads of help." Harry told her, brushing a strand of her fiery hair behind her ear.

"Harry she has two years let at Hogwarts. She's going to miss a lot of stuff with that baby." Ginny said sadly.

"I'm sure Dumbledore will figure something out." He said.

"I hope so." she sighed.

"Well all we can do for now is wait." Harry said tiredly.

"Here." Came a voice behind him.
Hermione and Ron had walked up, Hermione with her want in hand, conjuring a chair.

"Thanks Mione." Harry said sitting down, pulling Ginny down with him.

Harry watched as Hermione conjured up another chair for Ron and herself.

"Any news?" She asked

"No. Her water just broke and Remus and Tonks are in there. We just have to wait." Harry said.

"Oh. Do you know if Tatumn came up with a name yet?" Ron asked.

"No." He said in a bored tone.

Harry closed his eyes, exhausted. But he couldn't lull himself to sleep. Too much was racing through his mind.

It had been six hours before Harry was awakened by Remus.

"Is everything all right?" He asked.

"Yes everything is perfect. She wants to see you four though." He explained

"Okay, come on guys." He said to the others. Grabbing Ginny's hand and walking into the hospital wing.

"Hey Tatumn." Harry said as he walked up to her bed.

"Hi Harry." she said happily, exhaustion evident on her face.

"Where's the baby?" He asked.

"She had to go with Madam Pomfrey for a moment." She said worriedly.

"I told you not to worry dear." Madam Pomfrey said walking back through with a pink bundle in her arms.

"Thank you." Tatumn said happily taking her baby from the older woman.

"Of course dear." She said.

"Guys. Meet Tabitha James Lupin."
