September 1st
It was the that day that all they children were ready for. The day they finally got to board the Hogwarts Express.
Harry was bouncing about the house nervously. "What house do you think I'll be in mum?" Harry asked for the millionth time.
Lily smiled at her son. "Well most likely Gryffindor, you come from a long line of them." She told him again. Harry gave his mother a warm smile.
"We don't care though, well as long as you're not in Slytherin. I'd have to disown you." James announced. Harry's eyes widened and Lily slapped James hard on the head.
"I was only joking. Harry we don't care which house you're sorted to. We love you no matter what." James told the raven haired boy.
"Oh my. We best be off. The train leaves in twenty minutes!" Lily announced. Harry jumped up and ran to his room. He grabbed his favorite possession, his wand. And put it in his back pocket. Pulling his trunk down stairs he quickly handed it to his father, running back to get his owl, Hedwig, she had been his 11th birthday present from Hagrid. "Harry!" James shouted, just as he made it to the third step. "Sir?" Harry asked. James approached his son. "Harry you've got robes for a reason. They have a pocket just for your wand. You'll lose yours if you put it in your back pocket." James scolded. Harry nodded, quickly moving his wand. Once Harry had grabbed everything he needed the three Potter's(technically four) flooed to Kings Cross Station. "Mum, there's Ron! And, and Hermione!" Harry yelled excitedly. Lily smiled at him. James went on to pack all of Harry's stuff on the train. "Remember to write at least once a week, and behave." Lily told him, wrapping him in a tight embrace.
Harry hugged him mum back and then tried to get out of the hug. Only to find he was stuck and that his mother was crying. Panicking he scanned the crowd for his father.
And sure enough he found him by the loading area. As if feeling his sons eyes burning into the back of his head, James turned around.
He saw the panic in the young boys eyes. Quickly he came and wrapped his arms around his small family. "Lils, he'll be okay." James said soothingly, rubbing circles on her back. She loosened her grip on Harry and he gave his father a thankful look.
"Bye Mum, bye Dad." Harry hugged his parents. "I love you guys." More tears came to Lily's eyes. "We love to too sweetie.
He couldn't believe it. He was sitting on the Hogwarts Express, along side Ron and Hermione. Not knowing what the year would bring.
Staring back out the window he waved on last time at his parents. Awaiting the blow of the whistle, to start their journey.____________________________________________________________________
