"Mum he was doing so good." Harry said trying to escape his mothers wrath.
"How high did he get? Can he land properly yet?" James asked excitedly. But one look from Lily and he was cowering away.
"He is too little Harry! I didn't let your dad take you on a broom till you were five." Lily scolded.
"Mum he just didn't stick the landing. He went to fast. Honestly the kids a natural." Harry said. He saw his dad's grin but he was more afraid of his mothers glare.
"Next time listen to your wife. And just wait till Molly hears." Lily threatened.
Harry's face paled.
"She's been owled. Should be here any second." Lily said crossing her arms.
"Who's hurt. What's happened?" Molly's voice came anxiously from the door way.
"Your son in law decided to let James fly on the broom, despite my instruction of only allowing three feet. He took him higher and James fell off and broke his arm and cut his head open." Ginny said throwing Harry under the bus for a second time.
Harry looked at her with an annoyed scowl. They were all over reacting.
"Harry! He's a baby. What on earth were you thinking?" Molly said angrily. Her hands on her hips as she advanced towards him.
"He wanted to do it." Harry argued.
"What did I miss?" Sirius asked.
"Your god son let little James on a broom and he fell off and broke his arm and cut his head open." Arthur whispered.
"Oh that's nothing. Harry when you were about two I think. I got you a broom and while your mother was gone your dad and I let you ride it. You fell of while trying to go down the stairs. You broke your leg, dislocated your shoulder. Busted up some ugly vase your aunt got your mum. Man that was a day. We took you to the hospital and got you fixed before your mum got him. She still doesn't know to this day." Sirius laughed.
"I do now." Lily growled.
"Oh Lily, didn't know you were already here." Sirius said sending and apologetic look to James.
"Father like son." Ginny muttered.
"Oh Harry loved it!" James explained.
"And so did James though he probably won't now that you've all made a fuss over it." Harry grumbled.
"I'm locking all the brooms up until he's of age to start Hogwarts." Lily said angrily.
"Mum." Harry complained.
"It will teach you a lesson young man. Babies aren't meant to be on brooms." Lily said strictly.
"My son. He will not go to Hogwarts without knowing how to fly." Harry argued.
"You did, and you were the youngest seeker of the century." Ginny pointed out.
"Well I can't remember it Ginny. That's what the time turner was for. We went back saved my parents. Voldemort is dead. So I don't remember my life before then. I just believed myself when I read that letter." Harry said irritably.
"You still got on the Quidditch team your first year. James can fly when he's 8. It's when mum allowed Ron to start." Ginny said firmly.
"Sounds reasonable son." James said.
"Oh you lot overreact over little things. It's not like he's a muggle and has to live with a broken arm for a couple months. He won't even remember it." Harry pointed out picking James up.
"Lily dear I think we should just collect all the brooms till further notice." Molly suggested.
"Good idea." She agreed.
"Again. He's my son if I want to let him ride a damn broom then I will." Harry said aggravated.
"Uh oh. See that there is a Lily's temper." Sirius whispered.
"Padfood shut up. You'll get Lily started." James mumbled.
"Well Prongs go save your little Prongslet." He said nudging him forward.
"Lily love. He's a grown man. Capable to making decisions for his children. So James fell and broke his arm. That's not good but he is okay now. Let's just go home. Make dinner. Invite everyone over. It'll be fun." James cooed.
Lily smiled and nodded.
Harry sighed in relief.
"Oh don't you think for a minute your fathers sweet talk is going to save you Harry. Honey go pick up Haven and Harrison please.
Harry and Ginny took James and Albus back home. Harry signed. No more brooms for a while. Or he'd have to face the wrath of the grandmothers again.
"I know you want him to learn Harry, I do too. I love quidditch. But I want him to be older." Ginny said softly.
Harry's face softened. He sighed. He knew she was right but he still didn't want to have to wait so long.
"I understand Ginny. I do. But I want him to have the best chance at getting on the team his first year. I can't wait to see him play." Harry said excitedly.
"You're going to have to. That is if you want to avoid your mothers wrath." Ginny said seriously.
"Like you or your mum's is any better." He grumbled.
Ginny smiled brightly and kissed him on the cheek.
"I'm glad you've finally made it to the same page." She giggled.
"Yeah yeah. Let's get ready to eat." Harry huffed knowing he's definitely lost.
