bottom!Yunho
Top!Mingi.
"Merry Christmas, Yunho!"
That's what Mingi immediately said when Yunho opened the front door for him. With the widest and happiest smile he had, directed at Yunho, who spontaneously returned the smile with an equally radiant one. The only difference was in the eyes, which didn't squint as much as Mingi's.
Mingi handed a large gift box to Yunho. "This is for you."
The object quickly shifted into Yunho's hands. "Wow, what's this?"
"Just open it if you want to know what's inside."
"Come in, Mingi!" Yunho's mother called from the dining room, half teasing Yunho for not immediately inviting Mingi in but rather holding him back. She couldn't approach Mingi to welcome him directly because she was too busy preparing dinner at the dining table.
"Oh, right. I forgot. Sorry, Mingi, I was too excited about your gift."
Mingi said it's okay. And finally, Yunho closed the door after Mingi entered. It's very cold outside. Snow falls heavily, covering New York, making residents feel like the weather could kill them if they didn't stay indoors and drink hot chocolate with a heater or fireplace.
Yunho placed his gift near the Christmas tree, along with the stack of other gifts he had received from all his friends and cousins the day before.
"But Mingi, sorry I forgot to prepare a gift for you, I was too busy helping eomma with all these decorations. If I have time later, I promise I'll buy you a gift. Is that okay?"
"Hey, that's not a problem. I think just you inviting me for dinner now is already a special gift for me. So I don't think you need to bother getting me another gift."
"No, I'll still do it."
"Alright then. It's up to you. Oh, let's open your gift."
"Okay. I wonder what's inside." Yunho opened the gift box and pulled out its contents. "A sweatshirt?" He looked happy and satisfied.
"That I knitted myself, to be precise," Mingi said proudly.
Yunho widened his eyes. "Really?"
Mingi nodded firmly in response.
"Since when did you learn to knit? Oh, I remember. You always ask for permission to leave early whenever we're with friends. Did you use that time to learn knitting?"
"Smart boy."
This time it was Yunho who smiled proudly.
"Just for you. You're the only one I made this shirt for."
"Wow, really? Oh my. You make me feel even more guilty for not treating you specially." Yunho showed his guilt through his mournful expression.
"Stop feeling guilty, Yunho. Now wear that warm shirt. I want to see if it suits you."
Before putting it on, Yunho lifted the sweatshirt and examined it.
"It's quite big, by the way. Do you think I'm that big?" Yunho didn't mean to show that he was offended. Because, of course, he was too happy with Mingi's gift.
"It's called an oversized sweatshirt, of course, I had to make it very big," Mingi reasoned.
Once Yunho told him that he wanted an oversized sweatshirt like the one San had. Because San looked very cute when drowning in that oversized shirt. And its sleeves covered almost all of his fingers. So he had cute paws like a cat. And Yunho, seeing it, also wanted to look cute like that.
