Mingi thinks carrying Hongjoong is enjoyable.

Especially when carrying him like a koala. Hongjoong’s small and petite body makes him snugly fit against Mingi’s larger frame. Mingi also says carrying Hongjoong feels like carrying a plushie. It’s not like when he used to carry Yunho, who was bigger and made Mingi’s whole body ache, especially his lower back.

But that’s not the main reason Mingi broke up with Yunho and ended up dating Hongjoong. The fact that Hongjoong is easier to carry is just a bonus.

To be fair, Mingi has a more serious and reasonable reason. Even though it’s a clichéd reason like discomfort and incompatibility, it’s still important.

Hongjoong is a musician who loves singing, rapping, playing the piano and keyboard, and writing songs. His work is very promising, which keeps him busy with recording albums, performing, and other engagements.

Mingi is also busy with his office job. But despite both being busy, they still manage to find time for each other and keep their communication intact, especially since they now live together.

One time, when Hongjoong had no commitments and was not in the mood to write songs or do anything related to music, he felt bored because he didn’t know what to do.

He actually knew what he wanted to do—spend more time with Mingi. But unfortunately, Mingi had a regular job and had to go to the office every day. Hongjoong would have to wait for Saturday and Sunday to finally spend time together.

The problem was it was only Monday. And Hongjoong didn’t like waiting.

He watched Mingi get ready to go to work.

"What should I do while you’re gone?" Hongjoong asked with a pleading tone, his heart crying out that he didn’t want to be left by Mingi this time.

"What do you usually do when I’m not here?"

"Wait for you to come back."

"Pfffttt," Mingi tried not to laugh, "You’re so cute, it’s like you’re Patrick being left at the Krusty Krab by Spongebob."

Hongjoong made a cute pout. Unable to resist, Mingi picked Hongjoong up in a koala-style carry, which was his favorite way to hold his boyfriend. Hongjoong instinctively wrapped his legs around Mingi’s waist and draped his arms around Mingi’s neck.

"Trust me, you’ll find something fun to do while I’m not here," Mingi said, kissing Hongjoong’s lips, "When I come back, we’ll go out together."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"But if you’re tired from work when you get back…"

"No, I’ll be really excited to go out with you. All the exhaustion and stress from work will be gone."

"Wow, you’re good with words."

"Hey, I’m serious."

"Okay then. Hurry home, alright? After you finish work, come straight home, don’t hang out with Yunho."

"Jealous, huh?"

"Yes, indeed. So what?"

Mingi laughed. "It’s nothing. It’s just nice."

"Nice? How so?" Hongjoong asked, puzzled.

"Yeah, it shows you care about me, that you don’t want to lose me, and that you’re worried someone else might take me away."

"Actually, what you said is just a fact. But since you said that, I feel reluctant to admit it. Unfortunately, I’m not tsundere, so I can’t be hypocritical about my feelings."

Mingi smiled. He whispered a few more words into Hongjoong’s ear before Hongjoong hugged him, and Mingi set Hongjoong down. Hongjoong helped tidy up Mingi’s shirt, which had become disheveled.

"By the way, you seem to be getting heavier. What do you do while I’m not here besides just waiting for me to come home?" Mingi laughed as his words made Hongjoong annoyed. He quickly escaped through the door before Hongjoong could throw something at him.

Despite annoyed, Hongjoong would still miss Mingi and wait for him to return to his embrace.
