Chapter 16:- Sad

Marinette's POV

I was sitting in dinning table looking down at my hands. Fidgeting. While mama and papa are sitting infront of me silently looking at me.

"We heard what happened" mum said in her soft tone

"Are you ok?" Dad said

"Yes" I mumbled

They came a few hours ago from their cooking competition and obviously they won the first prize.

They were about to say something but the front door bell rings.

It's night time and the bakery is closed who it could be?

Dad gets up from his chair and headed to front door to check who it is while mom followed him to also see.

I sat silently in my chair not moving.

After like 10 minutes when they didn't came I decided to go and see who it is. Curious to know now.

I came to the front bakery door and saw-

My biological mother standing there.

My eyes became wide looking at her. What is she doing here? How did she found this address? What does she want now?

They didn't noticed me yet but they are talking about something.

"Sabine tell me where is giselle? I know she is here." Eva said

"Giselle is dead, Eva. You and claude killed her remember? and now you are asking me where is she? Don't you have any shame left that you showed your face infront of me after what you done years ago." mom said with pure rage in her eyes

Dad was silently looking at them.

"Then tell me where is her grave?" Eva said with also pure rage

Mom scoffed at her "I will be dead before I tell you where her grave is you don't deserve to know about her or where she is buried. You fucking left her there to die you bitch"

Wow. It's the first time I saw her this angry or cursing at someone like this.

Eva's eyes turned teary "you know I didn't have a choice. She is my daughter I love her."

Mom laughed "look who is talking about love? A mother who left her own child to die and then gets married to someone else and have a child with him and moved on like it's nothing. how cheap you can be? You never came back for her then why do you care now just because you want the property that's in her name?"

"You know I never wanted the fucking property. I am here just for my child-" before she can complete her sentence

Mom slapped her. Me and dad both gasped because it was truly unexpected.

"Don't you dare to call her your child. You don't deserve to be called a mother. She deserves so much better than both of you. She deserves loving parents not some abusers. I never get to slap you and make you pay for your sins but now I did." Mama said with the face that screamed pain

Eva started crying now before she can say anything her eyes landed towards me. Shock in her features.

"Giselle?" She said while crying and choking

I saw mama turning to face me. Shock in her features. Mouthing words towards me why did you came here?

"Giselle" she practically yelled and then ran towards me and hugged me so tightly that I forget I have to breath for air

"Oh my god giselle you are alive I missed you baby I missed you so much." She said crying hardly now

I didn't know what to say or what to do my mind was blank. Completely blank.
