Chapter 17:- School

Adrien's POV

I woke up when I felt no one beside me. I look at myself to still see myself in my chat form. Then at the clock to see it's 5:00 AM right now.

I get up from the bed then I noticed that marinette is not in the bed with me.

I check the balcony to see she is not there either.

I jumped towards a rooftop knowing well that maybe she is jogging somewhere.

After searching for her for sometime I saw her in Luka's boat drinking.

What the- why she is drinking in the early morning?

I jumped behind them and overheard their talk.

"Slow down, your beer is not going anywhere, why are you so desperate?" Luka said trying to calm her down

She finished her beer can and put it down on the table with a thud sound making Luka flinch.

She sighed heavily.

"That was your 4th bottle of beer" Luka said

"And? After everything that happened yesterday I need to drink. And does it look like I care?" She said with a groan

"Absolutely not" I said suddenly making them flinch on their spots

They turned towards me with wide eyes.

"Did you just appear out of thin air?" She said with disbelief

I shrugged and sat in the empty chair beside her.

"You are drinking on the empty stomach" I said

She made a face and looked away

"You should eat something first"

"Yeah he is right" Luka said agreeing with me

She scoffed "oh please don't start it again I am not in the mood"

We both shaked our heads knowing well she won't listen to us.

"How long have you been here?" I asked

"Maybe for 30 minutes" she said

"I see" I nods my head at her

We were silent for a while no one knew what we should talk about and soon it turned into awkward silence.

Luka cleared his throat "is it me or the atmosphere suddenly turned awkward?"

"I think you are right" I nervously laughed

Then we turned towards marinette to see her in deep thought.

"What are you thinking?" He said

"What do you think?" She said

He shrugged "dunno maybe skipping school today?"

She groaned "maybe but no"

"Then what?"

She didn't said anything and was in her own thoughts until a minute later she said "I am hungry"

"Noodles?" He said

She nods her head.

He gets up and headed towards kitchen to make noodles.

She get up and made her way to the couch that is kept on the boat and lay down with a tiring sound that escaped thorough her lips.

"Tired?" I asked

"Hmm" she closed her eyes

She just closed her eyes but she is not asleep. After like 15 minutes Luka came with a tray of 3 bowls of noodles though I didn't say it but I was kinda hungry "for me?"
