To say Dynamite Academy was huge would be an understatement. It was so damn huge and the size of it felt like it could occupy a whole wealthy neighbourhood topped off with a castle even.

Taehyun finds himself standing somewhere at the courtyard and also finds a few eyes on him, however he doesn't flinch, he's used to gaining these kind of attention on the streets. Heck, as Suga once joked around with him, his looks could kill any criminal that's brought in for interrogation.

Taehyun eyes his surroundings and he sees the usual cliques you'd see in highschool; there were the exchange students, the jocks and their groupies, the nerds and anime weebs, the 'don't-talk-to-me-unless-you're-smart' group and the druggist with their weed in between their fingers.
Typical.

Taehyun eyes the paper in his grip where his schedule was. He was told by the administration to attend classes first before settling into the dorms.
Taehyun turns on his toes and before he could take a step, Taehyun's face bumps into what feels like a person's figure and he stumbles back on his feet, but before he could feel his body land onto the ground, he feels a strong hand wrapping around his waist and another one pulling on his arm.

His eyes widen in shock, but relief that he didn't suffer a fall on his first day. He then releases himself from the strangers grip, adjusting his footing to stand straight. He then turns his head towards the strangers direction to thank him only for his eyes to enlarge once again at the sight of the boy.

He was slightly taller than him and he had brunette bangs hanging over his arched eyebrows. He wore a simple white shirt paired with black ripped jeans and white sneaker that can't be mistaken as a liability. He carried a gym bad over his shoulder and he's sure that this boy's a jock.
And funny, because not only were Taehyun's eyes rendered towards the boy, but the boy was eyeing Taehyun as well, not breaking away.
"A- Are you okay?" The boy finally speaks out.

"I'm okay. That was quite embarrassing for a first day though." Taehyun says, scratching the back of his head while laughing out nervously.
'Shit, I suck at talking to people.' Taehyun thinks.

The boy giggles. "A freshman, huh? No wonder it's my first time seeing you here on campus. What's your name?" The boy says, putting a hand forward in which Taehyun gladly accepts.

"Kang Taehyun. You?"
"Choi Beomgyu."

Taehyun feels his entire body freeze just from hearing the boy's name. He isn't sure if this was some FBI shit or fate, but apparently, he's now acquainted with Beomgyu, the President's son and the person he's supposed to be protecting, all on the first day and just a few minutes of stepping into Dynamite Academy.

Beomgyu flickers his eyelids as he waves a hand at Taehyun's face.
"Hey, you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost." Beomgyu says.

Taehyun snaps out of his trance and clears his throat. "Nothing, I just zoned out. Do you usually approach random people and instantly befriend them?" Taehyun asks sarcastically.

Beomgyu chuckles. "Not really, unless they're cute, I might."
Taehyun rolls his eyes. "Guess I stumbled upon the campus flirt."

"You're quite a cure to sore eyes. It's hard to not notice."
Taehyun smacks Beomgyu at the shoulder gently. "That was cheesy as fuck."

The taller giggles. "What class are you having right after this?" Beomgyu asks.
"Economics at Bangtan Hall." Taehyun says, peering at his schedule.

Beomgyu grins. "Call it fate, looks like we're in the same class. C'mon, I'll lead the way."
Taehyun smirks to himself as he follows Beomgyu from behind.
'Fate or coincidence? Bullshit. That was definitely FBI level hacking.'

+×+

After a few hours of classes, Taehyun finally got to the dormitories and had gotten some help from the RA to find his room. He swears to God that everywhere seems like a maze.

He's still surprised and wondering how much the FBI and probably the Sir Choi had invested in this operation. Taehyun's still in awe at the size of his room, and the other rooms are probably as big as his, not to mention everyone gets a room each for their selves.

And he's peeked into the tuition fees earlier and he's sure that the price of it is the price of Suga and his shared apartment.
But, it's not always Taehyun could enjoy this kind of wealth, might as well make the best of it.

Taehyun starts to clean his room, ensuring every dust is off every corner and then he moves onto tidying the interior, setting up necessary furniture and replacing the mattress covers and curtains with his own preference.
While sorting the place out, he's set up a video call with Yeonjun and they basically talked about Taehyun's first day and not to mention his first encounter with Choi Beomgyu.

"I bet he's ridiculously handsome." Yeonjun says.
Taehyun shrugs his shoulder. "Meh, he's handsome. But average."

Taehyun giggles as he watches Yeonjun roll his eyes on the screen. "At least he's probably not as narcissistic as you-"
"Say that to the mirror, hyung."

Taehyun suddenly hears knocking on his door and he puts over an index finger over his lips at Yeonjun, signalling the older to stay quiet as he walks over to the door to see who it was. After all, he wasn't expecting anyone.

Before the blonde boy could peek through the peep hole, a part of him already knew who it was. But, he didn't expect to see that person this soon again.
Taehyun turns the door knob and opens the door to reveal Beomgyu standing in front with a smile.
"Beomgyu-hyung." Taehyun calls out.
"Are you settling fine?" Beomgyu asks.

Taehyun nods. "I'm actually almost done. What brings you here?" Taehyun asks, cutting to the chase.
Beomgyu lifts his hand up, revealing a book in his grip. "You left your Economics textbook earlier at class. Thought I'll hand it to you so I asked the RA where your room was." Beomgyu says, handing the book over to the younger.

"Thanks hyung." Taehyun says. "Is your room on the same floor?" Taehyun asks.
Beomgyu nods. "Surprisingly, just 3 doors away from yours."
'Suga-hyung's got some shit explaining to do.' Taehyun thinks.

"If you need any help, just knock on my door, you know where to find me." Beomgyu says.
Taehyun nods with a smile. "Thanks for today, hyung."

Beomgyu eyes the younger in front of him, confused. "For today?" Beomgyu asks cluelessly.
Taehyun giggles, revealing his aligned, vampire-like teeth. "You saved me from falling, showed me to my classes and now you returned my text book. You've done a lot for me in the span of just one day, hyung. So, again, thank you."

Beomgyu chuckles and reaches out to ruffle his fingers through Taehyun's blonde locks, leaving it dishevelled and red hue appearing on Taehyun's cheeks. "Anything for you, sweets." Beomgyu says with a wink before turning on his toes, leaving to his room.

Taehyun still stands there, stoned. If anything, he can feel his cheeks flushing harder just by hearing Beomgyu's husky voice and the word 'sweets' that he had call him seconds ago roll off his tongue.
"EARTH TO TAEHYUN!!" Yeonjun calls out through the video call and Taehyun abruptly snaps to his senses as he closes the door shut and returns to where he had placed his phone.

"Now who was that, sweets?" Yeonjun asks sarcastically, cocking an eyebrow cheekily.
Taehyun rolls his eyes. "That, hyung, was the guy I'm supposed to be protecting aka Choi Beomgyu."
Yeonjun's eyes widen. "Oh damn, Taehyun. He asked the RA for your room just to return your book and even gave you a nickname. He was flirting with youuu!!"

Taehyun scoffs. "He's just a sweet talker, hyung. Beside, I can't be too close to him. It's rules that I've set up for this operation-"

"Close, but not too close."
