Taehyun slowly opens his eyelids as he's met with Beomgyu's sleeping face and the older's hand over his body. He then glances at the clock on the wall and finds it's 2am.
And Taehyun still couldn't sleep.
The blonde boy gives a peck on the lips of his boyfriend before sliding out of the king bed the two share and walking towards his luggage bag to pick and slip into a sweater.
He takes one last look at his sleeping boyfriend and smiles before walking out of their room and down the stairs, heading out from the villa while he's sure the others are asleep.
Taehyun plugs his earphones as he takes a stroll down at the beach. He needed to clear his mind for a bit. Not that anything seriously happened; he had fun earlier evening at the bonfire with everyone, he couldn't ask for anything better than it is. They'll be here for another two days, and the day after tomorrow of that day, would be homecoming.
And that's why Taehyun couldn't find himself sleeping peacefully, as he figures how to put his emotions into words to say on the day he tells Beomgyu the entire truth; about him being an FBI and an undercover agent sent to protect him.
Taehyun reaches the beach, admiring the blue waves reaching the shores as the moon elucidates on it; the water reflecting its shine.
He takes in the chilly night wind, breathing in and out with his eyes close to relax his mind. When he opens his eyes, he lets them wonder his surroundings, until it lands on a peculiar figure.
Taehyun raises his eyebrows, dashing his way towards that figure and when that certain person finds Taehyun running towards him, the blonde expected him to run, only for him to stand there, turning his body to face Taehyun the moment the blonde boy reaches and grabs his arm and catching his breath.
"Don't you dare run." Taehyun warns.
The mysterious guy shoots the younger a smirk. "Apparently, I didn't. I didn't expect to find you lingering around here?"
Taehyun lifts his face to face the guy. "Neither did I expect to see you here, Agent Sunwoo."
Sunwoo chuckles, patting Taehyun on the back. "It's been a while.." He says.
"I figured you looked familiar, hyung."
Kim Sunwoo. An ex FBI agent and was once Taehyun's partner in one of his previous missions. They grew close during that mission and Taehyun's always looked up to Sunwoo as a reliable hyung. Unfortunately, Sunwoo left the FBI, Taehyun never knew why and he doesn't want to pester Sunwoo to tell him but he never got an answer for it.
Some said Sunwoo got a better offer; working alongside a congressman or sumn. Some said he got offered to join the CIA but honestly, we'll never know. Sunwoo had always been secretive, even Taehyun knew that, despite how close they are.
"So?-" Taehyun cocks his head at the older. "Why're you here? There's got to be a reason."
Sunwoo clicks his tongue. "Does everything I do need a reason?" He asks sarcastically.
"Then maybe you can tell me the reason why you were spying on me and Yeonjun from the forest."
Sunwoo shakes his head while letting out an airy laugh. "You're just seeing things."
"And you're bad in lying. I remember you telling me that we can't trust anyone, even our loved ones-"
'Damn Kang Taehyun, that hit deep.' Taehyun thinks as he pauses his words.
Taehyun shakes his head. "Which means I can't trust you right now but I can tell that you're not the bad person here. Besides, you're a bad liar."
Sunwoo nods silently, a grin plastered on his face.
