One week.
It's been one week.
And Beomgyu's drowning in his worst condition and emotions ever to exist. He realises it too. How he's been easily swearing and fussing over the smallest things, how he's becoming clumsy because his thoughts are fogged with emotions, how distant he's quite become with his friends, and how harsh he's been towards his teammates, specifically Taehyun.
Beomgyu stares at his ceiling as his mind recalls the time when he scolded Taehyun a bit too much with his raised voice but only to feel guilty and soften as he locks eyes with the younger's glossy ones, tinted with fear and its corners pricked with tears threatening to spill.
And it hurts more to know that Taehyun had been trying to talk to him. He's sure the blonde had taken notice of how he's avoiding him. It's pretty obvious.
Beomgyu can't help feel guilty.
"Should I get mad at him?" Soobin asks as he lazily strums the strings of Beomgyu's guitar.
Beomgyu sighs and shakes his head. He truthfully feels sorry towards Taehyun for keeping up with Soobin's scolding.
"Please don't. It's okay, after all, I'm the jealous one-"
"It's still his fault for ditching your date with another guy. It's as if he's playing with your heart." Soobin cuts the brunette.
Again, Beomgyu shakes his head. "It's okay. We're not even a thing and Taehyun said it himself, he likes me... as a friend."
"But you're hurting Gyu."
Beomgyu chuckles. "It doesn't matter. Because it'd be an honour to have my heart broken by a guy like him. I truly don't deserve someone as wonderful as him." Beomgyu says, displaying a smile.
Soobin sighs, and feebly smiles because he knows that Beomgyu's words were true at heart.
"It's funny, hyung-" Beomgyu continues as he scrolls through the drafts in his messages. "I just can't give up on him. I have the urge to run back to Taehyun and forgive him even if he doesn't apologize. I've drafted so many messages to him even, but they're all so... unworthy."
"Gosh, Gyu. You're such a lovesick puppy-"
"We been knew."
Soobin's eyes widen as an idea pops into mind. He turns to face Beomgyu, catching the brunettes attention.
"What about we go to a party tonight?" Soobin asks.
Beomgyu peeks up from his phone. "That was so random-"
"You gotta let loose, you've been straining yourself for a week. I heard one of the cheerleader's are holding a party and everyone's invited."
"What if Taehyun's there?"
"Ignore him like you usually do. Tonight's just about you and your friends-"
"Taehyun's also my friend -"
"Goddamn push aside crushes."
Beomgyu pauses, giving into his thoughts and then a smile forms on his lips and he nods.
"Alright. Let's do this."

Beomgyu and Soobin arrive at the cheerleader's house and instantly, all eyes are on them the moment they step foot into the mansion.
Beomgyu takes a deep breath. It's not like he hated parties or whatever, he enjoys them really but the only part he hates about them is-
"Beomgyu-oppa!!" The cheerleaders rush over to the brunette, clinging at his sides and surrounding him in a circle.
