seven: Game On

"He what??!!" Kai exclaims and Taehyun instantly clasps his hand over the latter's mouth in an attempt to shut him up whilst turning his head to the side upon the commotion they've caused.

"He kissed me the other day on the cheek and then he asked me out." Taehyun says.

"Please tell me you said yes."

"I did and we went out the next day."

Taehyun seems so calm telling Kai about the kiss and date but secretly, inside, he's screaming like a teenage girl fawning over his crush.

That's right, Taehyun still couldn't get over the fact of the sudden kiss Beomgyu gave him on the cheek in the gym the other day and the next day, on their date, it wasn't overboard and just perfect for Taehyun.

While Taehyun was busy figuring out what to wear, he suddenly got a message that day from Beomgyu asking him to come to his room and Taehyun, in just a shirt and sweats went over to Beomgyu's room and was surprised at the stunt the latter pull.

Call it cheesy or even classic, but Beomgyu had a picnic mat sprawled over his floor with a large pizza box, cans of sodas and a box of doughnuts on it. Beside it was a small folded table standing with a laptop opened with Netflix displayed on the screen.

"Hyung??" Taehyun asks, still perplexed upon the situation.

"Welcome to our date." Beomgyu says, nervously scratching the back of his neck.

And Taehyun couldn't hide his smile as he sat next to Beomgyu on the mat, eyeing all the scrumptious food.

"You even got doughnuts~" Taehyun says, almost tearing up at the wonderful sight of his favourite snack.

Beomgyu chuckles, pinching the younger's cheeks causing Taehyun to glare at him which Beomgyu finds it cute. "What a baby. C'mon, I found a great movie to watch while we eat."

And that's how their first date went. Nothing fancy, maybe a little overboard with the picnic mat and all but it was perfect and cozy for Taehyun. He enjoyed every moment spent with the older that day, just chattering and getting to know each other more. And the more he knows Beomgyu, the closer he is with him and the faster his heart races everytime Beomgyu tried to scootch closer to him.

"He's such a sweetheart." Kai says. "Now would you admit you like him?"

Taehyun giggles. "I'm getting there."

Taehyun's phone suddenly chimes and it shows Suga's contact name displayed. He excuses himself from Kai as he answers the phone outside of the coffee shop.

"Hyung!!" Taehyun exclaims into the phone.

"Hey, Taehyun. Could you come down to the Bureau?" Suga asks.

"I'll be there in 20." Taehyun says before ending the call.

The blonde boy enters the shop again and settles down in front of Kai, finishing up his food and drink.

"Sorry, Kai. Would you be okay going back alone? I've got errands to run." Taehyun says, then standing up from his seat.

"Sure, Taehyun. I'm about to meet Soobin afterwards, anyways."

"Alright. See you around."

Taehyun reaches the Bureau and quickly enters Suga's office and he's met with his hyung's eyes on him as he stands up from his chair to greet the younger.

"Taehyun!!" Suga exclaims. "Reports." Suga immediately says.

Taehyun scoffs. "Good thing you called me because I was about to send you a report anyways. So, from the looks of it, not only is Sir Choi receiving threats, but also Beomgyu. I managed to forward those messages from Beomgyu's phone to mine. I'll send it to you right now-"
