"It's strange. It's getting weirder and weirder." Suga says as he places with his pen, pouting.

Taehyun rolls his eyes. "I told you so, hyung."

A week after the election night, Taehyun stops by the Bureau and he finds Suga straining himself with thoughts.

"The results come out in two weeks. And we still haven't detected the other two parties. And we were so prepared if anything would've happened that night." Suga says, sighing.

"Or maybe they gave up? Sounds like bullshit, though. But if you think about it, there's no way they'd want their assess exposed on election night." Taehyun points out.

Suga nods. "Smart as ever."

"Also, I need to tell you about something. During election night, I was searching for the toilet when suddenly I bumped into a running man. It looked like he purposely bumped into me, he even kept his face hidden with a hood. I went to chase him but I lost track. He might be just a regular person but something just seems off of him."

"We'll look into that. And-"

Before Suga could finish his words, the door to Suga's office creak open, revealing the Commissioner.

Taehyun and Suga stood up from their seats and gave him a respectful bow.

He then faces Taehyun. "I knew you'd be here. I need to talk to you about something."

Taehyun's eyes widen, slightly shocked.

"I'll leave the two of you." Suga says as he makes way to the door.

"No-" the Commissioner holds his hand up. "Please stay, you're allowed to listen."

The Commissioner sits on the seat where Taehyun sat earlier and the blonde sat on the couch while Suga takes his seat back.

"Is there something you would like to tell me, Agent Kang Taehyun?" The Commissioner asks.

Taehyun tilts his head in confusion. "Should there be?" He asks back.

"Witty as always-" the Commissioner chuckles. "Enough playing Agent, you've been getting romantically involved with the target; the boy you're suppose to protect for months now."

"Is there a problem with that?" Taehyun snaps back, eyebrows furrowing.

"In many ways, Agent. Your job is to protect him, not date him. It'll only get in the way of your job. And you yourself should know that it's wrong for any agent to get romantically involved with their client."

Taehyun sighs and he looks down to his fidget ING fingers. He knew that.

He knew it was wrong.

That's why he never wanted to get close to the brunette from the very beginning.

But, it happened.

Taehyun heaves a deep breath in and out and locks eyes with the Commissioner.

"I've been doing my job of protecting him well. He's not hurt, not even scarred. I prevented any harm to him. I fought off those assailants and tracked down the hitman back then. I don't see me dating him as getting in the way of my job-"

The Commissioner pinches the bridge of his nose. "I knew it'd be difficult to deal with your stubbornness. That's why I asked Agent Yoongi here to ask you to retreat from the operation. But he reported to me back that you're persistent and keen of working."

Taehyun's eyes enlarge.

It was the Commissioner all along and not his hyung. A wave of guilt splashes over him as he recalls how he ignored Suga for a week despite they were orders from the Commissioner.
