That's it.

That's the last straw.

He knew what he was feeling and he wouldn't deny it, that he's definitely but slowly falling for Choi Beomgyu.

It's been a few days since he offered Beomgyu to share his bed with him since the latter looked uncomfortable on the couch and it made Taehyun feel sorry. The next day when he woke up to the empty space beside him, he spot a note at his nightstand;

"Goodmorning, Taehyun. I didn't want to wake you up because you looked so peaceful. Don't forget breakfast, I'll see you at the court."

'WAS THE HEART NECESSARY??!!' Taehyun silently screams in his head.

Now's another day, another day with practice at court, another day with Beomgyu. And the more Taehyun looks over at Beomgyu (since he's his secret bodyguard), the more he realises how amazing the latter is.

It's no wonder he's the Captain of the volleyball team and the setter. His skills are immaculate and sharp. He might be stern but he looks over his teammates like family.

No wonder everyone is fawning over him.

"Taehyunnie!!" Kai calls out, snapping Taehyun from his trance.

"Oh, Kai." Taehyun says.

"Wanna grab doughnuts?" Kai asks.

Taehyun smiles.

"You read my mind."

The two friends went straight out after practice and have been hanging out at the nearby coffee shop, stuffing their faces with a variety of doughnuts since Kai insisted on treating the blonde boy.

"Are you coming to the party this weekend?" Kai asks.

Taehyun looks up from his doughnut to Kai, eyeing him cluelessly.

"What party?" Taehyun asks.

"Ahh..." Kai sighs. "I forgot you're a freshman-"

"That sounds offensive."

"Anyways, we always have a party with the volleyball team, including the newbies before the first game. Some of the girls would be there too."

"I'm not sure Kai..."

"Beomgyu will be there." Kai butts in, cocking his eyebrows teasingly.

Taehyun rolls his eyes because that means he doesn't have a choice but to go.

Perks of being an undercover bodyguard.

"You don't have to shrug it off. Beomgyu-hyung obviously has a thing for you and you seem to do too-"

"Everything is platonic between us."

"Well, you're not denying it. So, you're going or not?"

'Suga-hyung better buy me a kitten after this operation.' Taehyun thinks.

"Fine, it's not like I have a choice."

Taehyun's conflicted on what to wear but after his door's being banged by Kai and Soobin, the blonde boy quickly settled with a white shirt draped with a red bomber jacket, worn with ripped denim blue jeans and black boots.

"Looking good, Taehyunnie." Kai compliments while shooting a wink.

"Don't I look good?" Soobin asks.

Kai rolls his eyes. "You'll only go overboard."
