Tucking her hair behind ears, she took a deep breath before entering the room.
Everyday, every week, every time she held the door knob, she always pray she will get a greet from Haechan who already wakes up.
But it's been a month and she's still praying.
Furrowing her eyebrows and looked around the room as she saw an empty bed. She placed down her bag and the meal box, panicking a little.
She immediately turned around, ready to leave the room, finding nurse but a voice from behind stopped her.
"Serin!"
Her eyes widened and she swore her heart stopped for a moment before snapping her head towards the owner of the voice. Only to see Haechan who just got out from the toilet, holding IV pole, smiling from ear to ear at her like a kid.
She gulped and tears building in her eyes, quietly closing the door behind her.
Finally, God answered her prayers.
"Haechan"
She stepped closer to him and cupped his face with her small hands, looking at him in disbelief.
"Noo, why are you crying??" He asked in panicked immediately wiping the tears on her cheeks. Her lips quivered, breaking into tears before throwing herself into his embrace, leaving Haechan in surprise.
"Serin..."
"I waited for you for a long time, you left me waited for a long time, I was worried and wondered when will you wake up. Everyone was waiting for you, Donghyuck always cried whenever he came here to visits. Jeno and Giselle always forced me to go home because I don't want to leave you"
She tightened the hug and Haechan lowered his head, hand patting her back in comforting way. She let out everything on his chest and at this point she doesn't even care if he'll make fun of her crying the next day because what matters now he's awake.
"I'm sorry for making you wait" a small smile crept on his face as he broke the hug, pulling her away. "Hey, stop crying now, I'm here already" she bit her bottom lips and hit his chest, frowning.
"I panicked when I didn't see you earlier!"
He giggled and rubbed his nape awkwardly, "I already woke up last night when nobody was here, I told the nurse to not tell anyone so I can surprise them. So... Surprise?"
Again the girl broke into tears, multiple times hit his chest which made the male burst into laughter.
"You are supposed to be happy not sad that I woke up!" He whined before walking back to his bed, leaving the girl frowning.
He tilted his head and grinned.
"Or I take that as I miss you?" He asked playfully, watching the girl sat on the chair next to him. She sniffed, wiping her tears away before rolling her eyes.
