The past three days went by in a blur. It feels like time is slipping away, and I am in a race against the clock. The day we went to rest, we woke up the next morning, but I was jet-lagged, and Naira was physically and emotionally worn out by her circumstances. I know Naira has suffered a lot. I told her that we would be leaving for India tomorrow. After I informed her, all she could do was panic—why wouldn't she, when she has to face the love of her life or the person she hates the most? I don't know what is going to happen, but I have a feeling that everything is about to change.

Naira will be facing Aditya after a whole eleven years. Yes, they were in the same college; Naira had just joined as a fresher, while Aditya and Ayaan were her seniors, even her brother and sister-in-law. But after what happened with Naira, she came to New York and met me, and from that moment, we were inseparable. We studied together and became successful in our careers.

And I am proud to say that we are both self-made women. Naira was a ray of sunshine, or so I gathered from her father, but that incident changed her. She became less interactive and preferred her private space. I remember how much Uncle loved her, but what has changed is that he doesn't care about his daughter's consent for her own marriage. I often wonder why Naira doesn't love her father anymore. She has a lot of secrets, and I don't want to force her to tell me everything, because I know my Nairu will eventually open up when she's ready.

On the other hand, in India, all the rituals are taking place. I saw Dii's photographs, and not once is she smiling. It is clear that she has been made to sit there forcefully; it seems like a gun has been pointed at her head. But she did tell me she was happy not to have to sit or perform any rituals with Ayaan.

Yesterday, when I talked to Dii, I could hear her wobbly voice as she asked whether I had come up with a plan. And today, I can finally tell her that I have a strategy. Naira and I came up with something this morning. I know it will tarnish both families' names, but why should I care when Ayaan himself doesn't? Now I feel relaxed; after all, everything is set. But my main concern is outsmarting the media. Obviously, when they hear about Naira and me returning to India together, they will swarm us and throw questions at us—especially Naira, since she is the hot topic.

Tomorrow, we will leave on my private jet, and soon we will be in India. A special best of luck to Mr. Ayaan Kapoor, because soon I am going to enter his life like a storm.

As I was lost in my thoughts, Naira brought me back.

"Kia, tension mat le, mein hun na. We both will solve every problem," Naira told Kiana with a serious look, her voice clearly showing her tension.

(Kia  don't worry I am there , we both will solve everything together.)

"Aree, tu bol rahi hai jo, itne waqt se baith ke naakun chaba rahi hai," Kiana replied playfully to ease the unsaid tension in the air, only to earn a glare from Naira.

(You are saying these who is biting  your nails from past few minutes.)

"Teko hazam nahi hota nah jab tak mera mazaak nahi udaa leti? Here I was, tensed seeing you in tension, and you just want to pull my leg," Naira retorted angrily.
