TRIGGER WARNING : THE FOLLOWING CHAPTER WILL CONTAIN BLOOD AND GORE

My first group of men rush forward. 10 of them from the noblemen's smaller army. I watch as they fight, and the men from the Kingdom of Darkness slice them down. I watch as Marcella ushers Dawn deep into the army, where she is safe. More people rush forward and I watch as some of my men fall and do not get up. This is the price of war. It is what they signed up for. For every one of my men, a few of the Princes men are hurt, some falling and not getting back up.

It doesn't matter how good his army is. They are still people. They will tire out, and when they do, the army of the Kingdom of Light will shine. I watch as the Prince joins in, his magic causing chaos and more of my men to die. Most of the men fight swords their magic strength or speed, nothing as extreme as magic from a Royal . If he wants to assist his men, I do not see why I cannot assist mine. I chant a few words and send a wave of my magic out.

I smile as men of mine who are hurt, heal instantly, with more strength and roar before slaying the men before them. I have noticed Marcella has joined in, the flash of her silver blades hard to miss as she easily kills 5 men. Why did the King think it was a good idea to teach her how to fight? Honestly, the man was not thinking about how she could have easily killed Dawn and fought for a throne that would never be hers.

I push more of my magic forward, watching as the earth cracked and watched as Prince Lucien's men jumped to avoid the damage, landing straight into into the swords of my men. The ground was covered in a pool of blood. Body parts that had been cut of lay on the floor. Vacant eyes and pale heads that would never see again. Half of Prince Lucien's army remained. I realized some of them were his actual village members and laughed. A prince who let his villagers fight his battle.

I was left with a good number of men, and this wasn't even all of my army. My magic is still strong, and ready to help us win. Prince Lucien's army was less than half of mine, and the remaining were tiring already. I had disposable soldiers. I grin when I see Dawn. Directing an attack towards her was sure to throw them of enough to end this before it had even begun. This wasn't a war,not really. This was me ending the Kingdom of Darkness in a day. This is far to easy. Why was this Kingdom ever feared? How did the war last so long?

I would be ending it today. I would win this battle. And the Kingdom of Darkness will be mine, for once I am done here I am taking my army into their Kingdom and claiming the throne for myself. Silly little creatures honestly thought they could stand in my way.

I grin as Marcella notices the intent of next attack. "Dawn," she yells, her voice filled with worry. My daughter looks around, noticing she is no longer safe , and in range of an attack. With a scream, bright rays of light shoot out from Dawn, hitting several of my men and turning them to dust before my very eyes. I stare at the girl in surprise. I always knew she had power within her, but I never knew it was that great.

Even Marcella seems a bit taken aback by the action, whereas Dawn looks around, surprised. It seems she had no idea what she was capable of. Not that it matters. I am still more powerful than her. I send out a bigger wave of my magic and my men freeze, their bodies cracking as they scream and change into something else. I grin at the inhumane creatures that will not be killed by a measly dagger or ray of light.

Monsters, exactly like the ones from the stories are in the battlefield. I grin, knowing my war will go down in history and I will be known as the mother of these terrifying creatures that are unpredictable and uncontrollable by anyone but me. I watch with a grin as the Princes number of men drops to a mere 15,excluding Marcella, Dawn and the Prince himself. "There's to many of them," Dawn states the obvious.

"Surender while you can," I announce ,knowing there is no way they can win. "Never," Prince Lucien responds. Well then, it leaves me with one choice. "Kill them all," I say.
