TRIGGER WARNING : THE FOLLOWING CHAPTER WILL CONTAIN BLOOD AND GORE

Two girls lay in a room that was collapsing around them. One girl had black hair, while the other was blonde. Both were severely injured, and near death. Marcella coughed as she made her way to the fallen crown of power. "what...what are you doing,"Dawn stuttured. The older girl winced in pain. "It can heal you,"Marcella responded. Dawn wanted to argue. She was not the one that needed to survive. Sge was not the one who could stop Lucien. She stared at the black band on her wrist and glanced at Marcella, who now had the crown of power in her hands.

Snapping the band of her hand, Dawn watched as it morphed into a double sided blade. One side was the purest white she had ever seen, while the other was pitch black. Marcella stopped moving due to her severe injuries. She looked up at the younger girl, shaking her head. Dawn smiled sadly as she woke up and made her way to Marcella using the last bit of her strength. She gripped the blade in her hand, taking the crown of power. "With your power, and this crown, you can end this," Dawn says.

"Dawn no. You don't know what will happen," Marcella protested the idea. It was an old magic that hadn't been practiced in years, far more dangerous than anything else. "I owe you everything Cel. Including my life," Dawn says with her sweet smile. Raising the blade up high, she slashed down with the black side of the blade, directly into her side. "I won't lose you," Marcella grabbed the crown of power as the younger girl used the white end of the blade to slice Marcella on the same spot she had struck herself. Dust swirled around the pair, as a dim light and strange blood red mist surrounded them. By the time the room had collapsed ,it as empty of bodies- living or dead.

In the Kingdom of Darkness, Lucien ,the self proclaimed King of Inter was gloating at his easy win and ability to defeat the Kingdom of Light. He was already planning to move his people, and prisoners to the land of Inter. He was having a discussion with his most trusted men when he was given surprising news. No bodies were found in what was left of the Queens chamber. He knew that could not have been, for he left two people in there with no way out, something he made sure of by using an enchantment. So why were the bodies not found? Could they be alive? He dreaded the answer. At least one of those girls would try for revenge...

Marcela would definitely want to kill him for what he had done. He was not going to panic. He had outsmarted her before, he could easily do it again. She was still the same girl he had fooled into thinking she was his perfect half. And as for Dawn, she was an utter joke. The only time she had surprised him was when she was under her mothers control, which proved to be a smarter version of the naive, useless little girl.

He was confident it would not be hard. He would just make sure he had every advantage. "We move to Inter at nightfall. We will have guards surrounding the castle and the slaves will be out in the hallways," He told the people in front of him. "But my lord...the castle is in ruins. How could we possibly stay," one man asked. Lucien chuckled darkly." We are not staying. Our war is not over yet. This will ensure our people is safe while I end it," he answers.

The older men were in awe of the young man before them. He was a brave, fair and noble leader. He often took charge for his parents when they were not around. They didn't react much when it was announced that he was King, even though Lucien was the one who made the announcement. After all the decree was in the Kings handwriting. Lucien couldn't help but smile. His people didn't doubt him for a second, and it was no secret that their lives were better than that of the citizens from the Kingdom of light ,who went from riches to rags in the blink of an eye.

They hated the superficial people, but admired their leader for sparing the citizens from the Kingdom of Light and giving them a second chance. A chance to right their wrongs. Lucien's people were as mindless as Eris's, the only difference was that he had no one doubting him for a second. Lucien watched as the men rushed out of the room, eager to please his wishes and make their ruler proud. They owed him everything. Peace. Families that were able to stay together. They were really grateful to him, as he had their best interests at heart.

Soldiers may have died, but they died honorable deaths, fighting for their Kingdom. Fighting to keep their families safe. No one wanted that sacrifice to go in vain. Lucien found himself chuckling when he was alone. People were so easy to manipulate. With his powers, anything was possible. he could read minds, control minds, plant memories and bend thoughts according to his will. He didn't need great power to get what he wanted. He didn't need a rune box or crown of power. He knew he was powerful all by himself. He smiled to himself. The difficult part was done. The Queen of Light was dead ,and he was taking precautions for a threat that probably did not exist. He focused his magic, teleporting himself to the broken castle of Inter.

The guards rushed to the village that was ablaze. What they found truly horrified them. Body parts of men, women and children lay across the ground. Every house was ablaze, the village looking red. The men searched everywhere, finding not a single survivor. They failed to find the monster that created this truly horrible sight .In Inter, Lucien received the news. He was surprised at Marcellas act. It wasn't like her to kill innocents to get revenge. Unless, of course, the girl had lost control, in which case ,he had made a good decision.

In the Kingdom of Darkness, villagers were fleeing to the castle to seek safety. To their surprise, the castle as well as all the people within was gone. There was no where left for them to run. A mother grabbed her young sons shoulders, fear evident in her eyes. "You must warn the King my child. Run as fast as you can to Inter. he must know what is coming," she told him. her heart hurt at her ruler deserting her, but if her son could be saved, she would die in peace. The scared little boy took of at once.

Lucien was pacing. He had heard no word from his spies. After finding out of the bloody, burning village, it wasn't long till he found out about the village where everyone lay dead, not a scar on their bodies, no sign of what caused their death. His last update was of the village where the people begun fighting amongst themselves. No survivors were left in any of these cases. Lucien was furious, but he did not show it. Men and women were at Inter. The most powerful people of his Kingdom was at his side.

It was clear now that it was indeed Marcela, clearly out of control with one thing on her mind: Revenge. It meant Dawn had to be dead. The only thing to warrant such behavior was losing the only person she truly cared about. Lucien felt no guilt. Marcella was just a human after all. His magic worked on her. It didn't matter that she could choke a person at the flick of a hand.

He could consume and poison minds with a single thought. He knew his magic was superior.

Just then, a small child covered in blood raced into the castle, panting and out of breath, clearly frightened. Based of the clothes ,it was a child from a village just outside the castle in the Kingdom of Darkness. "I.. have ..come to ...warn you...my lord," the child stutters. Lucien looked at the child, wondering if this was necessary. "I know we are under attack child, you will be safe here," Lucien responded calmly. The child shook his head. "It's like nothing I've ever seen my lord. It's a monster," the boy says.

"She wiped out the villages, no one survived. My mother gave her life for me so I could warn you my lord," the child was around 11,and clearly distraught. "Calm boy. I know all about the purple eyed girl," Lucien responded, almost bored. "My.. My lord you are mistaken. Her eyes are red," the boy responds.
