The secret ninja force gathered in a dimly lit room, each with a distinct aura of purpose. At the head of the table sat Lloyd. Y/N couldn't believe the blonde who jumped off Destiny's Bounty just to show off his dragon was the same as the one who now showed authority and determination. His emerald eyes scanned the room, watching everyone wait for Y/n to tell her plan. She looked at them with no plan. 'Is this what Lloyd has to do every day? This sucks..' She thought to herself. Y/n took a deep breath and remembered what Llod had planned that morning. She tried to be as authoritative as possible by repeating what she recalled Lloyd saying.
"What if we?" he began, his tone firm yet still carrying compassion. Lloyd showed her the outline of everything they knew: The Sons of Garmadon's goal to use the three masks to make Garmadon evil again, how they already had two, and where each was located. He had added that Harumi was the quiet one to the list the night before. Y/n took a deep breath and looked at the ninja. Her mind's eye took her back to the room where Lloyd laid out the plan.
"We'll divide into three teams," Lloyd had told her. She repeated this to the ninja as if it were second nature: "One team will track down the Sons of Garmadon to monitor them; do not engage if spotted; return here. The Second," She paused, her gaze lingering, not for effect, merely to recall what Lloyd told her next. Her e/c eyes subconsciously locked onto Lloyd's vivid green ones, and she slightly scolded herself, moving her eyes away. She spoke again. "will secure the Oni mask itself. The teams are Nya, Zane, and Cole, you are one team; remember, do not engage. Jay and Kai will look for Mystake."
"Meanwhile, I will be going undercover—It shouldn't be longer than three days. I will be taking Lloyd with me—as the other teams do your missions." She played off, but the moment she said, there was an uproar she wasn't ready for, and with every concern shouted at her, she couldn't help but see how lucky Lloyd was.
Kai couldn't help but voice his concern first."Three days undercover? Are you sure about this, Y/n? The Sons of Garmadon aren't exactly known for playing nice. It sounds risky," Kai's voice echoed through the room, his pacing mirroring his unease. Y/n could feel his unease as his relentless pacing made her stomach knot.
"Chill, Kai. I have a plan," she replied, trying to sound confident to get him to stop pacing. Not that it did; Jay pulled her attention away again and voiced his concerns.
Jay couldn't shake off the feeling of apprehension. "But three days is a long time to be undercover, especially with that threat looming over us. What if something goes wrong?" he questioned, his restless energy evident as he nervously tapped his foot. Y/n didn't have a moment to get him to calm down as Cole, always the voice of reason stepped in, his concern etched on his face.
