He's Gone, Tails!
Tails got the entire team all back together. The entire team couldn't believe it. Literally. "Tails, how is Sonic still in that demon? It's been 18 years." reminded Amy. "I know, Amy. That's the problem," started Tails.
"We abandoned Sonic. We left him to that demon of his. We didn't know about the pain and suffering he went through whilst in that form. We-" explained Tails. "He's gone, Tails!" intersected Shadow.
"Sonic is gone, and there's nothing we can do about it. It's been 18 years, fox. He's gone, Tails."
"Mr. Shadow," spoke Cream, turning the experiment's attention towards him. "Sonic saved all of our lives, remember? He saved yours. Mine. Reality as we know it. He showed us all niceness, courage, and bravery, and we just up and leave him? If anyone's the villain, it's us. He never gave up on us. Who are we to give up on him?" asked Cream.
Tails smiled at Cream's supportiveness towards his theory. "But it's been 18 years- never mind. I'm not going to see you all die trying to save someone who's already gone. I'm out of here." said Shadow, running out.
"Anyone else who would like to object?" asked Tails. The Chaotix and Vanilla said no. Cream was sad that she couldn't convince her mother to try and help Sonic but she knew it'd be worth it in the end.
"Alright. Who's ready to bring back our friend?" asked Tails. Knuckles, being Sonic's brother-figure, believed in Tails's cause and stepped up. "I'm with him, who else?!?" supported Knuckles. On by one, the gang stepped up.
"I'm in!" (Cream)
"Anything for Sonic!" (Amy)
"Count me in." (Silver)
"If it's to save everyone, including Sonic, I'm in." (Blaze)
"Same." (Rouge)
Tails smiled and looked at Knuckles with a look that said 'thank you'. Knuckles returned the smile. They WILL save their brother. No matter the cost.
