I yawned and looked out the window, the sun shining at me. Making my skin glow.
Climbing out of bed, I walk over to it. Pushing the curtains aside. Enjoying the beautiful view or the forest.
Suddenly, I feel a pair of arms covering my waist and stomach. I hold onto the hands. Closing my eyes, we start swaying.
A kiss on my cheek makes me smile.
No talking.
Nothing.
Just pure happiness.
BACK TO REALITY
My phone alarms, making me jump up from the bed. I forgot to turn it off once I got here yesterday so it wouldn't wake up Duncan. I rub my eyes and look out the window, no sunshine, just rain and thunder.
I grabbed my phone off the nightstand and checked the time.
12:00 pm, June 7th, 2024
My eyes widened. I stayed here over time,oh my god!
I then checked my notifications,
12 miss calls from Mom.
Oh shit. I was in so much trouble. But I'd deal with that when I got home.
I get out of the bed and look out the window, thinking about the dream I just had. Crazy right?
But there was a part of me that wanted it to come true.
"WHAT THE FUCK AM I SAYING?" I screamed and quickly covered my mouth. That wasn't supposed to leave my mind.
I heard Duncan knock three times on the door,
"Hey Courtney? Are you good?"
I sigh and respond,
"Yea i don't even know what i just said. You can come in."
He opened the door slightly, I didn't turn to look at him, instead I focused on the rain outside.
I felt him walking over to me, not to close though.
"Morning." He said as he scratched his neck.
"Good morning, how'd you sleep?"
He shrugged and said,
"Not that bad but not amazing. Those drinks are catching up to me."
I chuckled and looked up at him,
He's so handsome
WHAT THE HELL COURTNEY
"How about you?" he asked
"Really good."
"That's nice."
We stood in silence for a couple more minutes.
"When do you want me to drop you off?" He said as he sighed.
Did I want him to drop me off though?
"Can you actually now? Not like now now but my moms just been calling me like crazy and shit."
"Of course, let me just go grab a coat and umbrella for you and we can head out. Send me the address."
Shocked once again, I opened my mouth to protest. But he covered it before I could get anything out.
"Nuh uh princess. You can't get out of it this time."
I glared at him and moved back, crossing my arms.
