Between last minute preparing for the Wedding of the Century, little day trips to see the sights and having a front row seat for Battle of the Baking Divas Theo was getting pretty much run off his feet. He was thrilled to see the day of the rehearsal at Rocky Creek Baptist Church come. Not that it went off without any issues.

The stick thin old minister Reverend Dewey Harlow was nice enough but he looked almost a hundred and was so frail he could barely stand up by himself. Plus he could barely hear. Mary Davis said he did wear hearing aids but the batteries were usually dead. During the rehearsal pretty much everyone was screaming so he could understand them.

Matt had finished his masterpiece wedding cake and it was currently under lock and key in the church kitchen. So was the Mountain State tribute cake his rival Pearl had baked. Pearl was still upset her cake wasn't the star of the show and insisted the two cakes be side by side on the main table. That idea was not pleasing Matt or Winnie. Winnie had told the woman she was lucky the cake was not in the trash can. Pearl was so horrified she fainted dead away.

The ring bearer Benji was having a bout of pre wedding jitters which Reed was talking him through. The junior bridesmaid Livvie was ready and willing for her part in the wedding in her cute designer dress and first low heeled pumps. During the rehearsal Dennis' best man Lane had misplaced the ring for Winnie that would ultimately be tied to Benji's satin pillow and everyone was afraid Dennis would have his first wedding related hissy fit. Luckily it had been found by Charles in the absent-minded Lane's pants pocket. It was best not to ask questions how Charles knew it was there although Matt tried his best to. Winnie begged his best man Reed to not lose Dennis' ring. Reed looked terrified himself at that prospect.

And Winnie and Theo practiced going down the aisle. Theo was worried he slip and fall but it was Winnie to stumble head first down the flower draped aisle of the church. To his horror and most people's amusement.

Finally after many hilarious turns they had declared the rehearsal to be a success and everyone set out for dinner in the adjoining dining room of the church. The meal was jointly prepared by Matt and Mary.

Of course when everyone got to the large lavishly decorated room there was a missing element.

Winnie Palmer was missing.
