After their little conversation, Hyunjin and Jisung eventually said goodbye and parted their ways, heading to their classes for today.
Of course he was bummed that he couldn't see Jisung for almost the entire day, the two had a lot in common and he enjoyed talking to him.
Once he entered the classroom, everyone went quiet, looking at him or his direction again. He stood there quietly, as the teacher introduced him.
"Everyone, welcome Hwang Hyunjin, he will be joining our class for the rest of the year." Hyunjin bowed, before making his to the back of the classroom, grabbing a seat near the window.
The teacher began going over what they would be focusing on for the rest of the semester.
"Hyunjin is it?" The male was startled by a boy siting at the desk beside him, whispering.
"Yeah?" He whispered back.
"Kim Seungmin, nice to meet you." Seungmin smiled, holding his hand out for Hyunjin to shake it.
"Hey, your Jisung's friend right?"
"How'd you know?"
"He mentioned you, when we talked. He uh, toured me around the school?"
"Ah, word of advice, next time you need a tour, come to me. My friends are really crazy." Hyunjin nodded before tuning into the lesson.
The lesson ended 10 minutes earlier before the bell rung, giving students a chance to catch up, or have smaller talk in the classroom.
Seungmin pulled up a chair, and sat with Hyunjin at his desk.
"How are you liking it here so far? I know it's only been the first class."
"It's pretty decent, I mean Jisung and his friends.. they're kinda weird, but I'm glad to have found someone to fit in with."
"Don't mind them, they're just naturally like that. You can trust me, I've dealt with them since the 3rd grade." The two laughed.
"If you don't mind me asking, do you happen to know what happened to Jeongin? I-I know Felix mentioned something earlier.."
"Was he upset with you? Did he come off in a mean way?"
"I- yeah? Kind of.. I tried not to think much about it, it still bothered me a little."
"Oh.. don't mind him! We just got into a little argument, he just has to warm up to you, don't let it get to your head that much."
Hyunjin wanted to ask more, but the bell had rung again, indicating that it was time for their second period of the day.
"I'd better go, our history teacher is very strict and I can't be late. I'll see you later though." Seungmin smiled, waving to Hyunjin as he grabbed his school bag and walked out.
After his fourth class of the day, it was finally lunch time, which means he could catch a break.
There was only one problem though, he had nowhere to sit.
He saw how everyone was so divided, just how Jisung had described everyone to be, the popular kids sat on one side, the rich kids sat at another, and the weird nerdy kids sat at another.
"Hyunjin! Over here!" Jisung yelled from the table him and his friends sat.
Hyunjin squeezed his way through the crowds of students, and finally met up with their table, taking a seat next to Felix.
"How's it going?" Felix winked at the male, only to be hit on the shoulder by Jisung.
"It's actually been rather fascinating, this school isn't that bad."
"That's because you met us, we're like the most awesomeness people you'll ever meet." Jisung joked, causing Felix and Hyunjin to laugh.
"Hey, where's uh, Seungmin?"
"Oh, so you've met him."
"Yeah, he's in my English class."
"That's nice.."
"You still didn't answer my question though." Felix let out a small chuckle which caught both of the boys attention.
"Spill." Jisung said, glaring at the now frightened Aussie.
"He's with Jeongin... making out with him."
"WHAT?!" Jisung yelled, the cafeteria went silent.
"What?" He said quieter as the cafeteria got louder.
"I know, I saw them in our meet up classroom, and Seungmin was pinned. I walked off when I saw them actually kissing."
"Wait, Seungmin made it pretty clear that he was straight and that he had a crush on Yeji."
"WHAT?!" Hyunjin yelled.
"You guys have got to be quieter.." Felix groaned.
"Sorry, I kind of forgot you were there for a second, you get so quiet."
"Hehe." Hyunjin giggled, making Jisung squeeze his tiny, but adorable cheeks.
"Guys, focus. Operation Seungin starts right now." Felix folded his arms.
"Operation Seungin..? You and those ship names, you're crazy."
"I'm crazy? Do I have to remind you of your obsession with Minho?"
"Minho..?"
"Damn it, I keep forgetting that your new Hyunjin."
"Let's just all meet up at my house tonight, 7pm? Movies and Snacks, we need to fill Hyunjin in on all the tea." Jisung nodded, the two looked at Hyunjin, waiting for his answer.
"S-Sure? I guess 7pm works for me?"
"Great! Here's my number, we'll add you into the groupchat later." Hyunjin nodded and smiled.
