10 - what is love?

Nervous was an understatement for how hyunjin was feeling at the moment.

He was a wreck and had barely got any sleep in the previous night.

He couldn't help it though.

Today was the day he had to tutor Chan, which means we would be with him for almost the whole day, since today was a short day for the whole school.

"Jinnie-ah! You have 15 minutes left, and you better be ready." Mrs. Hwang said.

Hyunjin quickly shot up, grabbing his school clothes and throwing them on, not forgetting to grab his toothbrush before he ran out of the door.

"Do you even care to fix your hair?" Yeji said, leaning on the counter with a cup of boba in her hand.

"I wouldn't have to rush if you guys didn't sign me up for tutoring... especially you yeji."

"I'm sorry but Mom and Dad told me I have to. It's their orders and I'm not going to disobey them just because you don't want to wake up early."

"I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at mom and dad for not telling me anything."

"Look at the bright side, he won't flirt with you? He's straight and you aren't his type anyways.."

Hyunjin rolled his eyes, smiling a bit as he turned around. If only she knew that Chan out of all people turned out to be the biggest simp for her little brother.

"Hyunjin? Yeji? Why aren't you guys on your way already?" Mrs. Hwang interrupted as she walked in with Mr. Hwang.

"Hyunjin was bitching about tutoring."

"I wasn't."

"Language."

"I'm just saying.."

"I don't understand why did you guys have to sign me up, and not even tell me."

"It's for your own good, and it will give you something else to do other than hanging out with to boys who have no life and educational goals."

"They do have education goals, and why does everything have to be about that?"

"They won't do anything for you in the future will they?"

"No but.."

"Okay. So stop with the attitude, you're going to tutor Chan and that's final."

"But mom.."

"Hyunjin I've heard enough, get to school now before your late." Mr. Hwang ended the conversation, opening the door for the two to leave.

As the two got into the car, Hyunjin turned the other way so he didn't have to face yeji, but she chuckled in response.

"I don't know why you're so angry, Chan is one of the hottest guys in school, I would be over the moon if I had a chance with him."

"Like he would be into you." Hyunjin mumbled, not expecting yeji to hear him. He didn't know what came over him, or why he got so jealous when yeji said what she said about Chan.

"I could say the same about you."

"Don't you have something going on with ryujin? Stop trying to swoop in on one person after the other."

"You're making it sound like I'm some kind of whore."

"If the shoe fits."

"Ryujin and I don't have anything going on, she's not into me and neither am I with her, so lay off me asshole." 

The carride was silent the whole time. Hyunjin felt bad about what he said to yeji, he couldn't blame her nor could he get mad by what she said.
