Dear Sirius,
I hope that this letter finds you quickly and safely. I've had to send it with Narcissa's owl, as I don't have one of my own yet, and I don't know if she'll get to it before the owl can send it off. So, Cissy, if you're reading this, please stop and give it to Sirius, thank you.
Anyways, how are you? I heard about your Hogwarts house- well, all of us did. Aunt Walburga and Uncle Orion are furious. Although, I suppose you know that already. Mother said they sent you a howler. I've never seen a howler myself but Bella told me how awful they are. I hope you're okay.
I'm ever so bored here. Now that Cissy and Andy are off at Hogwarts, Mother has been tutoring me every day. She says that soon I will be a lady and I have to learn to be respectable so I can get a husband. She also told me to be grateful I wasn't sent to a finishing school. I suppose that is quite true. I do not wish to be sent there.
She also keeps lecturing me on my metamorphmagus abilities. She said I should be able to control it by now, but I really can't help it. Sometimes, I just get far too excited, or angry, and my hair turns a different colour. It's kind of sad that she wants me to stop using them because I think it's quite cool that I can do that.
Now that Andy and Cissy are away at school, I'm alone in the house. I see Regulus quite often, but it does get lonely when he is not around. I know that Andy was never really home before this anyway, but we still saw her occasionally. I can't imagine she'd be coming home for Christmas, so now I won't see her at all.
As for Bella, I have not seen or heard from her in quite some time. The last I heard was that she was in training. I'm not entirely sure what she's training for, or against. I do miss her very much though. I wish she would come back soon, if only just to say hello.
Well, that's enough about me. What about you? How is Hogwarts? What's your favourite subject? Are the teachers nice? Or are they mean? Have you gotten detention yet? Is the food good? Oh, I'm ever so excited to go. I simply cannot wait! You must tell me all about it.
