Alternate Endings

When I wrote the ending of this story I actually had two other ideas.

Obviously the real ending is the one posted, but after an Instagram vote people wanted to see my alternate endings so here they are!

(Option One, Sad Ending)
The first option was that Draco, and Liliana were gonna lose touch, and stop speaking.
But Liliana was gonna re connect with Lucas.
Lucas was gonna make his recovery, and become a better person.

They were gonna date again, and Lucas was gonna get a job in Canada. Lucas was then gonna propose, and the two would get married.

Draco however wasn't invited to their wedding,
in fact he had no idea this occured.
He continued normally with his life as an auror.

Liliana got pregnant quickly after her wedding. She had a baby boy with Lucas, and the two were really happy.

After a while, Draco would've decided he wanted to re connect with Liliana. He still had feelings for her, and wanted to potentially
re kindle a relationship.

So he was gonna go to her house.
But when Liliana opened the door, Draco was gonna realize what had happened.

Draco was gonna notice she was pregnant, and see the ring on her finger.

At that moment, he was gonna be absolutely crushed.

But Draco was gonna congratulate her, and ask who the lucky man was.

When Draco asked this, Liliana would've felt this deep sense of sorrow, and remember the way it was before.

She would've had this spark of regret.

Finally it was gonna end with Lucas walking to the door with a toddler in his arms.

Draco was then gonna realize it was Lucas she ended up with, and it was him she started a family with.

Draco was gonna end up heartbroken, and he would never find another girl like Liliana.

And although Liliana was happy with Lucas, she knew deep down it was Draco she truly wanted.

But I obviously didn't do this ending because why does Lucas deserve that?

Like there's no redemption arc in my mind.

(Option Two, Happy Ending)
The second option was that the two didn't become distant. Draco, and Liliana spoke everyday, and saw each other once a month.

None of them became depressed, and Draco never lost his job.

Liliana never met Eric, and she was never engaged.

Eventually Draco wouldn't have wanted to be an auror anymore, and he would quit his job.
But he would still be rich thanks to his generational money.

Draco then would've moved to Canada, and see Liliana all the time.

However, the two would never actually date.

But, on Lilianas 30th birthday Draco was gonna go to her house with a ring in his hand.

He was gonna propose, and the two were gonna get married. Liliana was also gonna end up having a baby.

The two were gonna be happy, and get their happy ever after.
