Now...we're onto a class many were waiting for.

Team WRBY and their sister team were sat together, watching alongside their year of students as two of them battled down below. Ruby didn't know their names, all she knew was that they were fighting with two unique styles of combat.

The guy had a Hammer and shield, while the girl across had a Shotel in both hands, dual wielding the strange weapons. She must have originally been from Vacuo seeing as those weapons are historically from the Desert region.

With a yell, the man swung his Hammer with all his force, the girl easily stepping back and letting it hit the ground from it's weight. She stepped onto the Hammer and used one Shotel to hook around his shield, dragging it down while the other went to his neck and curved around to almost fully encircle it.

"Enough!" Goodwitch's voice rang out as the two separated, the girl looking quite smug while the guy was definitely less so. "Well done you two. Playing into your strengths while avoiding many instances where weakness was shown."

She first turned to the boy with the shield. "Donovan, you're quite adept at blocking any attacks coming your way, and you're quick to retaliate once an opportunity comes. However, you put too much weight into strikes, leaving you open after a failed swing."

Then to the dual Shotel wielder. "Your choice of weapon is unconventional, but that gave you the advantage in this duel. You are quick, precise, and capitalized on any missed strike by deflections and impediments. Though, you certainly can do less with the excess movement, those will only serve to exhaust you further in prolonged engagements."

After the two returned to their seats, another batch was called out to battle against each other, and up in the crowd, Ruby watched the many battles with a close eye. She was interested in many of their weapons and forms of combat, as that had always been a quirk of hers, even if she no longer can wield normal weaponry herself.

She was especially eager to see if she could go down there to fight herself, as she wanted more experience in fighting Human sized opponents. She may have healed since then, but getting beaten down by Qrow and her dad really helped show she was lacking in same size opponent knowledge.

The matches came and gone, much of the class having gone up against one another in combat and getting tips and pointers on where to improve in their forms of combat. In the end, only a few students haven't gone into the ring yet, Ruby included.

She was getting really antsy and hyper, stamping her feet like a Dog while quietly whining from excitement. Her teammates and the nearby team JNPR both heard it and were definitely getting annoyed by the sound...all except one of them.

Said person raised their hand, catching Goodwitch's attention. "Miss Nikos, do you wish to compete?"

"I do." Pyrrha stood up from her seat, going down to grab her equipment for the upcoming fight she was hoping for.

It didn't take long for her to come back, in both her full armor and with her two signature weapons, where Glynda was waiting down in the arena. "Now, who would you like to compete against?"

It didn't take more than a second for Pyrrha and Ruby to lock eyes, where the red head gave the Dragon a knowing smile. "I want to fight Ruby Rose."

"Ruby? Are you sure of this?"

"I am, we both want to fight, so this is the best chance for us both."

Glynda nodded to her request, looking up to Ruby with no extra words. The Dragon knew what she had to do, and so she quickly got up and jumped down into the arena, her stance low with all four limbs on the ground, eager to start their match.
