Stephen POV

"I want you to take me serioussss" Stephen sung in the car as he bobbed his head to 'Play No Games'.

"Aw yeah yeah" he sung at the top of his lungs.

"Boy please stop embarrassing yourself" Jada shook her head.

"What you used to love my singing" he smirked as he gave her a nudge.

"I only said that to make you feel better."

"Ouch, well we know damn well you love it when I can make you sing" he implied trying to get his finances attention, but she was too busy texting away on her phone.

He proceeded to run his hands up her legs onto her thighs before she clamped them shut trapping his hand.

"I'm not in the mood." She said as she shoved his hand away.

"Your never in the mood" he rolled is eyes.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing don't worry about it." He shook his head. "We're here anyway."

"Mama I'm home" The mixed man yelled as him and his fiancé walked through the childhood home.

"In the kitchen!" His mother yelled out. He walked through and greeted his mother and sister.

"Hey baby boy" She smiled as her son gave her a hug.

"Hey Jade."

She snapped up from her phone as she flashed a smile. "Hey Ms. Sonya it smells good in here what are we having?"

"Chicken Parmesan" Sydel answered "it's the best!" she smiled.

"Yes" Stephen groaned. "I haven't had a good home cooked meal in ages."

"I wonder why that is?" Sydel mumbled hinting at Jada's inability to cook.

"Everyone's outside, but dinner should be ready in about 10min." "Hey Jada why don't you help me serve the table".

"Sure" she said as she finally put down her phone.

Stephen made his way to the backyard as his brother father were sitting out on the deck.

"Hey Son."

He greeted his father and brother and sat down with them for a bit, before him and his brother decided to go and shoot hoops just like the old days.

"So are you excited to be married soon?" Seth said as he grabbed his brothers rebound and started dribbling to the 3 point line.

"Yeah, I'm more excited to get this planning over and done with. We literally almost got into an argument over table cloths the other day" he admitted as he shot the ball and smirked as it went in.

"That sounds like fun" Seth sarcastically said. "But whats gonna be even more fun is the bachelor party me and Klay are gonna plan for you.

"No no no" I smiled. "That's probably not a good idea."

Klay was a party animal especially when you get the right amount of liquor in him, it's like a mini Draymond coming out.

"Aw c'mon, we have to go out with a bang! Especially before you get tied down."

"Once your married it's never going to be the same, from then on its going to be happy wife happy life" he laughed.

Well that can't be true because Jade isn't ever happy, or at least not with me.

"Alright fine" I rolled my eyes.

"Trust me bro, you won't regret it." Now let's get back to me whopping you in one on one like I always do."

"Oh we'll see about that!"

"Boys dinners ready" Sonya yelled out.

"5 more minutes! The scores tied" Stephen yelled as him as he drove for he layup, but it bounced off the backboard.

"Don't make me come out there!"

"Ma!" Stephen groaned.

Sonya started making her way down to the patio and passed up the deck but the boys dropped the ball and ran inside. They knew that things wouldn't be pretty if she made it all the way down.

"Who's bright idea was it to play anyway because now y'all smell".

**

"So how's the wedding planning going?"

"It's good, I hired Brooklyn Davis she works for Camilla Brown."

"Oh my gosh! Camilla!?" Sydel squeals causing everyone to look her way.

"What?" she shrugged, "I watch a lot of wedding shows okay? She really good."

"And just what are you doing watching wedding shows?" Dell raises an eyebrow as he was always protective of his daughter.

"You can't date until your married." He says causing laughter among the family.

"I'm serious!"

"Anyways Jade continue".

"Yeah so Brooklyn's really good, she knows her stuff" Jade nodded.

"So what's y'all's total budget."

Jades eyes lit up as she took it upon herself to answer with of course another amount in mind than Stephen knew about.

"950,000"

"625,000."

"Wait what?" Stephen paused and looked at her. "Where is the extra 2 grand coming from?" He raised an eyebrow as he did not recall the wedding almost totaling to a million dollars.

"Well I added on a train to my wedding dress, and I wanted fireworks" she shrugged. "Besides that's not even the final total."

"So what's our cut?"

"Uh about 475,000".

Sonya and Dell both nearly chocked on their pasta.

"O-okay honey, you just let me know what the final check is going to be" Sonya raised an eyebrow as she gave her son a look.

"Believe me it'll be nowhere near that" he mumbled.
