Stephen POV

I sighed as the cool Cleveland air came into contact with my skin, I was not used to this chilly weather at all.

However, I planned on taking advantage of this nice night and exploring Cleveland as this would be my last weekend in town.

I was in town, as I had held one of my basketball camps here and this just so happened to be my last stop. This weekend was going to be bittersweet, as I had enjoyed traveling all throughout the country. However all good things must come to an end, but I knew that once I got back home it was going to be all about the wedding as we only had less than 3 months to go.

I knew that Jade was panicking, but was trying to set up a facade and act like everything was okay. However, ever since Brooklyn left Taylor has taken over the planning duties which has taken some stress off of her.

It was a real sweet act however, I was so used to that curly headed gentle sprit, that I knew that with anybody else it just wouldn't be the same. But at this point I guess I would have to dismiss my wishes and accept that she is gone.

I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I neglected to watch where I was heading. I felt my body collide into another.

"Oh man I am so sor- Brooklyn?!" I questioned as I leaned forward hoping that my eyes weren't deceiving me.

"S-Stephen?" She answered back as she seemed to have the same surprised expression written across her face. "W-What are you doing here?"

"I-I had a basketball c-camp here" I managed to get out, as my sudden nervousness was causing me to act like a teenager. "It's nice to see where you ran off to".

As soon as those words left my mouth I instantly wanted to take them back, as a clearly surprised and pained expression came across her face. It was soon replaced with an unreadable look as she broke eye contact.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"No it's not your fault, it's mine once again" she continued before sniffling, "I thought that leaving would solve all my problems b-but" she stopped as her voice continued to crack.

"Come here" I pulled her into my chest and wrapped my arms around her. "You don't have to apologize for anything, in fact you don't even owe me an explanation" I continued as I caressed her back.

"For all I know you could've been on vacation, and I don't blame you, these weddings things are stressful. "You better have picked up a souvenir for ya boy though" l lightly chuckled at my weak attempt of a joke. My light smirk immediately turned into a grin as she let out a small laugh.

"I'm afraid I don't have anything" she chuckled. "Unless you like hotel chocolate" she gave a small smile as she wiped away some stray tears.

"Hotel chocolate? Girl you haven't been to any zoo's, or museums?" I asked in disbelief. What was she doing this whole time? I figured that her whole trip was to get away, not completely hide away from the world.

"Nope" she shook her head, "my whole entire trip here has been a little lame" she gave a light laugh and began to look down and play with her fingers.

"Well I'm just glad your okay" I sighed, as I placed my hands on top of small ones causing her to look up at me. "So what are you doing tonight?" I questioned.

"Nothing why?" She stated.

"Well how about we change that" I said as an idea popped into my head. I squeezed one of her hands before intertwining them and directing her in the opposite direction.
