Brooklyn POV

"I like this one better" Jades eyes lit up as she picked up the six inch high heel off of the rack. "What do you think?" She motioned over to Brooklyn who was too busy trying to wrap her head around the high prices in the store.

She's been living in Cali for a little over 2 years and still want used to the 'glamorous' life style as she didn't have one herself growing up.

"Brooklyn?"

"Huh? Oh sorry! Yes those are nice" I gave a small smile.

I was exhausted from going to what seemed like 200 plus shoe stores, trying to look for wedding shoes, due to Jade not liking the ones she ordered.

"Really?"

"Okay no, honestly"

I walked over to the other side of the rack and picked up a pair of sparkly heels.

"I think these would go better" I smiled as Jade nearly dropped the pair that were in her hands.

"Okay you and me are going to have to take more shopping trips!"

My eyes widened as I pictured running around to even more places.

"Not as long though!" Jade reassured as she seemed to notice my hesitation.

"But seriously you're amazing!"

"I try" I flipped my curls causing her to laugh as we walked over to the next aisle.

"Yeah but thank you though, it's nice to have someone that I can shop with, especially people with good fashion taste. Stephen can't ever keep up with me" she rolled her eyes and laughed as she recalled the way he'd try to talk her out of going to another store."

"Anytime, besides I never get to do anything as chill and fun as shopping with the brides. And if you don't mind why did you take me along?" I asked.

Normally this would be a friend or a mother/sister type deal, not a wedding planner that you've only known for a month.

"Oh no it's fine, it's just that my sister doesn't fly in until 2 weeks from now. She's a doctor, and let's just say that my mother isn't the best person to go shopping with, she'll criticize everything I buy or even take an interest in."

"I understand" I nodded.

"Yeah, is your mom like that?"

"Uh no actually my mom died when I was little" Brooklyn shrugged.

"Oh I'm so sorry! I feel terrible, here I am going on and on about mine and.." She trailed off.

"It's okay" I reassured. "I didn't really know her it happened when I was 3, my brother was the closet thing I had to a mom" I snorted trying to lighten the situation.

"Well at least you had someone" she nodded.

"Yeah" I lightly smiled. "He wasn't all that bad, just very protective" I emphasized.

I couldn't help all the little memories of my mom that flooded through my head. As I remembered her combing my hair, and me holding her hand. Sometimes I wish I could go back and relive them or even turn things around so that she'd be here today. But I know it's all apart of Gods plan.

"Well anytime you want to do this again, I'm available" I smiled.

"I'll keep that in mind."

We continued talking and looking around for other shoes trying to make sure that there weren't any other shoes that could be the one.
