I led him through the long grass, a white blindfold covering his sky blue eyes. My grip on his hand was tight and strong, and my fingers were interlocked with his as we happily walked through the field, the fresh grass and flowers tickling my legs.

"Come on, sweetheart," Steve whined as I giggled softly. "Just tell me where we're going," he blurted, voice playful.

We were on our way on a date that I had planned. I had told Steve nothing and insisted that he should wear a blindfold, wanting everything to be a surprise.

It was a surprisingly warm and sunny day, -luck of my side- as I guided Steve down a path, being careful not to let him trip as he couldn't see. At least I hoped he couldn't.

He had a cheeky grin on his plumped lips, his perfect teeth showing. I told him to wear casual, but he insisted he had to wear something more as dates were one of his favourite things to do.

I laughed, my hand only tightening. "We're almost there," I teased, dragging him quicker.

We arrived and I stopped walking. Steve, not realising, walked straight into me, causing me to almost trip. I couldn't help but laugh as Steve struggled to find me, his eyesight still covered.

"Oh, Stevie," I laughed as I got close to him, bringing his hand up and resting it against his chest.

I take my hand and undo the knot, the silky material falling, revealing his bright blue eyes. I smiled softly, pulling him into a delicate kiss, one of my hands cupping his cheek as my lips worked with his.

He smiled into the kiss, using his arm to keep me close as it held my waist. His grip was comforting as we embraced.

I pulled back, keeping my eyes on him. "Surprise," I say happily as I move out of his view, letting him have a look at what I had planned.

Some help, -aka Tony's money- helped me sort this out for Steve. He'd gone on about how he wanted to experience a picnic as he never did during his childhood. I kept that in thought, so here we were.

He smiled wildly, a small blush formed on his cheeks, causing him to get all shy. He leaned into me, his face nuzzling into the crook of my neck, his warm breath fanning onto my skin.

I press my lips to his temple. "You like it?" I asked, my voice soft.

"Love it," he replied and placed a kiss to my neck. He pulled back before kissing my cheek and then pecking my lips, his smooth lips warming up my skin.

I took his hand, guiding him as we slowly made our way to the checkerd blanket placed neatly on the ground. The grass had been cut in the surrounds, and trees were placed every so often, shadows casting from then.

We sat together, our body's touching as I reached for the brown basket that was placed in the corner of the material. I grabbed it and pulled it towards me, setting to the side before turning to him.

The sun gave him a nice glow, his eyes sparkling as he looked down at me. The sun showed the small details in his face; the few freckles he had painted on his soft skin, the dimples from his smile, and the furrow of his brows when he caught me staring.

"Something the matter?" he questioned, one of his brows raised.

I shake my head. "Nothing," I mumble. "Everything's just perfect."

He nodded, wrapping an arm around me as I leaned my head on his shoulder. He kissed my head, and I sighed.

I reached into the basket, pulling out two wine glasses. I handed one to Steve, who took it as I pulled out a bottle of my favourite wine. Tony knew me well. Steve opened the bottle and poured some for us both. Steve couldn't get drunk, so I knew it would be fine.

I took a sip, sighing when the flavour touched my taste buds. This was nice. I was here with the man that I loved, spending time with him in a relaxing way with nature surrounding us.

I rummaged through the brown colored basket, pulling and moving things around until I came upon a certain food. Chocolate covered strawberries. I giggle, placing the box of them on my lap before opening it.

I take one out before turning to Steve, who had been watching me the whole time. I smile, holding up the good.

"Open," I cheerfully said. He complied and opened his mouth, allowing me to pop the coated strawberry in it.

He took a bite, and I pulled the rest of the strawberry out, giving him a chance to try it. He smiled at me, his dimples showing as he licked his lip. I shook my head, a soft blush covering my cheeks as he smirked back.

...

Me and Steve had spent all afternoon talking and enjoying the time together. As the sun finally started to set, we only had one thing left to do.

We were now lying on the blanket together, his arms around my waist as he spooned me. His head rested on top of mine, placing kisses on it every so often. I was comfortable in his embrace, my body leaning on his as I watched the surroundings.

We had decided to watch the sunset together, which was something we did often, and the colours would light the sky in such a beautiful way.

Steve would always compliment it and then turn to me, somehow coming up with a cheesy pick-up line that would have me cringing but smiling at the same time.

"You know, the sky is just as beautiful as you," he whispered, and I groaned, covering my face with my hands.

Steve chuckled and removed my hands away, revealing a deep blush over my cheeks and the tip of my ears. I looked up to him and pouted.

He had a playful smirk on his lips. God, did he look good with the orange and yellow hue shining on his face.

"Don't start," I warned as I turned to face him, bringing my face close to his.

"Wouldn't dare to," he answered.

I sighed before pulling him into a passionate kiss, my hand finding the back of his neck and pulling him closer. His grip on me just tightened as he pulled me into his lap, returning the passion I was giving him.

My breath catched as we moved in sync, his plumed lips working well with mine. I wrapped my legs around his waist, closing any room we had between us up.

I close my eyes, wanting to concentrate on the feeling of his lips as we shared our embrace before I pulled away, resting my head against his.

"I love you," I whispered, my breath fanning against his face as I smiled softly.

He chuckled, his gaze looking straight at me. "I love you too," he returned before connecting his lips back with mine.
