i start to walk backwards in a panic, seeing the beaming lights from the aircrafts behind her.
the betrayal poured heavy, as she looked at me, crying.

i groaned, feeling a pit of rage. i wanted to push her off of that fucking cliff.

i run as fast as i could to the camp, screaming. "NO!" a loud bomb came from the aircraft, exploding the centre of the site.
i glanced at the yellow warning flames burning the village.

my whole being had fell apart. i thought i had lost my family forever.
everyone runs, in a state of panic, trying to avoid the explosions.

the zip line down on their wires, yelling and pointing their guns at the crowd. they began to shoot at randoms.

how could teresa do this?

i frantically run to the tent me and brenda were in, only to find it had been torn apart by the deadly fire. she pulled me backwards. "you idiot." she begins to grab my arm, leading me behind a barrel with jorge.

i gasp, looking over to my friends, holding weapons and shooting at the soldiers. a blue grenade, shocking them and knocking them out all at once.

i gulp, jorge insists i ditch my friends and leave with them.

i reject the offer.

taking a deep breath, i grab one of the snipers, and head off to the group of gladers on their knees, getting scanned on the back of their necks.

janson walked in, smug as ever, thinking he finally got what he wanted. "how much did we get?"
"all of them. give or take." a scientist man spoke, looking at a monitor.

he turns, looking about. "where's olivia?!"
i walk towards the entrance of the crowd, holding my hands up in surrender. "i'm here!"

he menacingly grinned at me before i was pushed to approach him. he tapped my shoulder happily. "my own life and blood."
he then decided to punch his own daughter in the stomach, i groaned loudly, falling to the floor.

he pushed me into the line, minho turned to me, whispering silently. "why didn't you run?"
i sigh heavily. "i'm not a runner."

a sudden massive jet soared in the sky, landing on the floor. the sand blew through the air as everyone admired how large it was.

a capsule opened, revealing four suited army men with guns. as they walked out of the capsule, dr. ava paige followed them.
the crowd gasped and was stunned.

she's supposed to be dead, they we're probably thinking.
"start loading them in." she demanded to janson. he gives a look before repeating. "okay, you heard. start loading them in!"

a few gladers were fought by their arms taking apart from the group and lead to the massive ship that had just landed.

a soldier thrusted me forward with a gun pointing towards my lower back.
"hello, olivia." she conveyed softly.
i look up and down at her, her head quickly turned to teresa, marching towards him.

frypan gulped. "what the hell? teresa?"
everybody glared at her with bewilderment and anger.

my heart pounded as i feel anger building up inside of me. "she's with them. she always fucking has been."

my eyes quickly dark to janson who was standing ever so proudly.

teresa then had the audacity to apologize. "i had no choice. this is the only wa-"
i held up my hand, stopping her. "no.. no! you had a fucking choice teresa. you took the side that is torturing children and taking innocent human lives over groups of people honestly seeing the good and believing in a second chance. but you, teresa. you're long gone for forgiveness."

ava gulped, pushing teresa back. "you need to remember we're all doing this for a reason and one day we will find a cure. we just need more time."

mary stepped up, the woman who helped brenda. "you mean more blood." she wiped her sniffled nose and moved away from the soldiers.
".. hello mary. i'd hope we'd meet again."

"atleast my conscious is clear." mary nodded, almost staring knives into ava's soul.
"so is mine." she replied.

BANG.

i jump out of my skin as i hesitated to look back. mary stood frozen head to toe with fear. a red patch of blood appeared of her white shirt. she looked down slowly, with her hands raised.
vince stood closely behind her. "mary? mary? mary!" he screamed, holding her in his arms.

janson lowered the gun from his hands, he hid the gun in his back trouser pocket, walking slowly towards me as i froze in fear. "do you remember when i told you that your mother is dead?"
the whole camp went silent. "well, she's dead now."

what?

what the fuck?

i eyes slowly turned to mary, bleeding out to death, vince still holding her in his arms, pleading for her life.

as soon as i turned by back away, i pulled out a gun from my pocket, slowly bringing it to my side behind my jacket. "i always had imagined my parents." janson stopped, listening to my cracked cry. "with teddy.. i imagined parents who didn't just give me up straightaway and actually fought for me. i imagined doctors and lawyers. not murderers."

janson turned to look at me, his eyes furrowing. "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it olivia?"
my stomach flipped, i've never felt adrenaline like this ever.
"no it doesn't. so fuck you, janson."
i posted the gun, shooting his top left chest.

everyone gasped as i watched the man fall to his knees, almost spitting on his face. the soldiers pull me back and take my gun.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" ava yelled, her hands shakey.
"maybe he shouldn't have killed the fucking doctor you stupid bitch."
she attempted to insult me but the loud blaring in the background interrupted it.

jorge whistled happily, driving through the camp in bertha. by allowing the soldiers to be distracted i elbow one in the helmet and steal his gun, shooting his head through his helmet.
the other soldiers held my arm so i hit his balls, he fell to the floor as i shoot him quickly in the stomach.
"god. this feels good."
