gally continued onto talk about the game plan with teresa and what she has to do. "we know you have minho in the building. where?" his question sounded much like a demand.

she looked down shamelessly. "he's with the others in holding. sublevel three."
"how many others?" newt asked over the silence.

her eyes flutters nervously, shakey voice. "28."
"i can make that work." brenda said, playing with cards.

teresa shook her head, bringing the attention back to her. "no, you guys don't understand. the whole levels restricted. you can't even get in without a thumbprint ID."

thomas jumped in, half speaking over her. "that's why you're coming with us."
gally sighed and scoffed. "well, i don't know. we don't necessarily need her."
he stood up, grabbing a blade. "we just need her thumb."

thomas held back gally's chest.
"i guarantee you she's done worse to minho."

my brain becomes foggy from the shear pain and pressure pressing against my chest. i even had to hold onto newts jacket as i felt myself see white noise.
"are you okay?" he asked concerned.
i hum before i head straight for the floor, luckily newt projected my fall.

they all quickly ran towards me. "what happened?!" gally spoke loudly.
newt shrugged. "i. i don't know, she just grabbed onto my jacket and just fell."

i gasped softly, falling to my side, groaning in pain. gally knelt in front of my head, tilting my head up. "olivia, you fainted."

i looked up at him weakly, closing my eyes slightly.

newt lifted up my shirt, sleeves and trouser leg. "she's not stung anywhere." he said.
i took a deep breath. "it's not from a crank it's my chest- like a deep pressure."

as i took raspy breaths teresa interrupted. "can i have a check of her? i could try find out what's wrong."
gally shook his head immediately. "no way."

newt held gally's shoulder. "come on, gally. she is a doctor." eventually after breaking gally's ground, teresa was untied and she knelt down in front of me.

she rested her hand on my chest to feel for my heart. "does it hurt when i press down?" i shook my head gently.

after her prodding about of my body she had given up and had no clue what was wrong for me, she just recommended rest.

they continued to keep ahold of teresa whilst still getting information out of her and create a well done plan.

gally walked into the room i was laying in, i immediately sat on the edge of the bed. he was carrying a backpack on his back. "hey sunshine."
i smiled. "hey gally." i replied, but looking at his bag i frowned. "you're leaving now?"

he sighed slowly, nodding.
"i'm coming with you." as i attempted to stand up gally pushed me back down. "gall-"

he scoffed. "there's no way you're going out there in your condition, what do you think is going to happen if we have to run or fight and you faint again? i can't put your life on risk like that."

i watched him walk out the door, locking it. "no! GALLY!" screaming, i bang on the door.
"i'll be back." he returned.

fuck.

i bite my lip, hearing the gladers leave.

i had to get out.

i used all my force and energy against the door, it wouldn't budge. "COME ON!" i yelled.
i slide down the door on my back, locking my knees together and hearing my heart as it pumped out of my chest.

i kept feeling the funny feeling in my stomach AGAIN.

i had finally managed to grab the bedsheets and tie them to the bed frame, wrapping the other end around my waist.

i removed my boots and socks for better grip, i tightly wrapped my hands around the bed frame, lining the bed up with the door.

BANG.

BANG.

i had successfully managed to break down the door with the bed. took a deep breath before grabbing my backpack and a gun left out.

the city was crawling with soldiers and police officers EVERYWHERE.

i had managed to escape without being noticed and to my eyes i see teresa walking to the building by herself, i couldn't see the others anywhere, but i chose to wait.

a soldier appeared at her shoulder, leading her into the building. my first clue of where they were going.

as i swooped round the corner i came face to face with a soldier, they stood frozen for a second before i knocked them over with my leg, briskly grasping their gun and shooting them.

i pulled their body effortlessly round the corner and got dressed into the soldier uniform, stealing the keycard and gun. "thank you sir kyle."

i tread into the entrance of WCKD, keeping my eye on teresa and a soldier. they stopped for a soldier to meet them, leading them towards the underground car park.

hurriedly, i keep up, eventually coming face to face with one of the gladers as i snuck through the wall. they punched my stomach. "HEY! HEY!" i yelled in pain.

they removed my mask. "liv?!" newt groaned. "what are you doing?!" i rolled my eyes, leaning against the wall. "you assholes. i can do this as well guys, i'm as strong as you are."

gally grabbed my wrist. "you're really stupid for this, sunshine." he leads me down the steps, still holding his gun upwards.

he let go of me as soon as we were met with a staircase of generators, thomas talked into the radio whilst gally was trying to fire hose the generator. "alright. let's go!" gally demands as we ran down the stairwell.

the door suddenly opened as thomas knelt the gun towards the soldier, shooting him down. i tapped gally who was behind thomas. "gally, i have bullets-" he held up his hand, quickly following into the room. "it's fine, olivia!"

they continued to shoot at each soldier with their electronic guns, that shock them. it felt so surreal that it was all happening so quickly.
