Her voice, trying to sound excited for my sake, asks me questions to find the bright side.
"You still have the guild don't you? And now you can take more commissions so that's a plus!"
"But the short commissions don't pay to well, I only did them to get slightly more money along with the Beekman's." I lay my head down on the counter, hand still holding my almost empty mug. "In order to get us anything I'd need to leave weeks at a time, I can't leave Danica all on her own!"
"Well, maybe she could go clean houses for stay while your gone, earn abit extra and have someone to stay with."
"She's just a kid, I don't want her working just yet plus she has school. I want her to enjoy time with friends or- Dragons! It's past 12 I need to get home thanks for the drink and the talk Cara!"
I hear her mutter out a complaint as I leave, but I'm to worried about running to tell her anything. This dress isn't helping me, it will be easier when I change into pants for the commissions. Despite the people's opinions about women in pants around here, most in the guild do. No one wants to run around and not be able to do anything in dresses. Pants are easier for horseback, climbing, and running, I don't see the point in dresses other than for important matters. Even then... Why?
"Danica I'm home! I'm sorry I'm late I- Danny?"
No response, she wasn't in the kitchen which was weird, normally she'd be ready to fuss at me for being late but she's not here, and not only that why isn't the food ready? It looks like it hasn't even been prepared. This causes me to worry, is she okay? Did she catch a fever? I rush upstairs, to the bedroom, hoping to see her in bed, but instead, I see her on the ground
"Danny! Danica are you alright you-"
Cold is all I could feel. Limp in my hands. How long had she been here? Hours, minutes, she has no wounds, no cutts, bruises, no blood on her body except the dry red under her nose. Tears stream down my face, I hadn't cried in over a year, and since our parents died. The exact opposite of them, she sits here cold, while our parents where stuck in flames. All we could do was watch, and now I still can't do anything except hold her lifeless body. I let go of her acouple minutes later, wiping the tears and snot off my face. Standing to find a bundle of letters on the tablet she must have grabbed them from the mail box before- well. Not knowing what to do, I rush as fast as my body can allow in my state back to the pub needing Cara's advice.
"Back already sweetheart?"
"She's gone."
"What was that? I can't hear you whispering in here with all the yelling."
I look up shocked not realizing I was whispering and say the same thing again but louder.
"Danica's, dead"
Silence was all I could hear, I could see people moving their mouths, chairs rubbing the floors, and drinks hitting the table. However nothing audible, I saw Cara move and leave from behind the bar to put her hands on my shoulders making sure I was okay, but still I heart nothing. Just as I was starting to hear ringing, and Cara saying my name, I realized I wasn't feeling well and landed onto he ground. Not only being able to not hear but my vision going black as well.

Dear Miss Kimi Hale,
My name is Terran, I was an old, and close friend of your father's and I seem to be needing his expertise. Since for obvious reasons he is unable to help me in this situation I figured his eldest daughter could help me. You see when you were young he would always brag about you, saying how you were a complete copy of him, not only in looks but the way you acted. When we would write to each other he would say how he would teach you everything he knew. I'm assuming that as a man of his word he did exactly that, I need to ask you to come down to Unithar. There is a good for you aswell if you help, I believe I have a way to bring your parents back. I'm afraid that's all I can say through letter and unless your willing to see me it's all you will be able to know.

"Are you sure it's smart to go on an expedition? It's only been two days since Danica-"
"I know. We only layed her down yesterday, if I could I would sit in my bed for months but I need money. Also she wouldn't want me to suffer."
Money was what I told Cara I was leaving for, that despite my younger sister dieing less than fourty eight hours ago I needed to leave her. No one would understand if I said I had gotten a letter from a stranger saying he can bring her back. If someone told me that, I would think they had gone insane, but the fact that he mentioned my father has me thinking it's not fake. Alchemists have made many things happen over the years maybe this man has found a way.
"Yes but still it's a bit early to go now, she was your only family left."
"Your worried about what people will think aren't you? An orphaned girl, who isn't married, who took care of her sister, who just died is running off on her own."
"I wouldn't put it that bluntly but yes, people can be rude around here."
"Well, I don't care what they think, I quit caring years ago." Sighing as I pack the last of my things in my bag, and grab my sword I turn to Cara ready to leave. "Please visit her for me."
All she can do is smile and nod, as I leave the door, heading south towards the location on the letter. It will take me days, three if I catch the right trains, but hopefully it will all be worth it.
