A Different Life

Introduction

Breaking all the odds, I knew I had to call it a night so I could wake up early for school, I laid down leaving my siblings who were conversing soon I drifted off to my fantasy world a place I had created in my head,I had the world at my disposal and order. A place that there was no shouting, quarreling, bullying and not being seen as a weirdo. I heard my name being called several times, heavy footsteps then a pat on my shoulder, I jolted up from the bed to see what it was,
Lo  it was morning already and my elder sister marvella told me to get up from the bed  before our mother  comes into the room herself, I sat on the bed still sad that my fantasy was disrupted and I have not had enough sleep cause I felt weary like one who had ran a marathon race. Nicole!! Nicole!!! I quickly sprang up and ran to the sitting room to help my sister prepare my younger siblings for school while my mother was getting breakfast ready.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Nicole I was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Smith as their second child and elder sister to Micheal and michelle the the perfect twins who had turn 14 years last week. My dad being an importer was a wealthy man, my mom was a business woman who had made it in her enterprise. Preparing for school has always been a hassle in our home that today wasn't left out but we made it to school on time on the last bell ring, mixing up with the crowd I made it to my classroom for my first class of the day  with the usual stares I always get from other students which I'm used to tho ,don't mind me I'm kidding I never got used to it I just pretend that I don't see them,the day went slowly that I lost count of how many times I checked the time on my rolex wrist watch finally the last bell rang after rep I met up with my siblings at the school garden where we saw mr ken our fathers driver, my parents were always busy at work but they made out time for my siblings and I.

Getting home we saw our dad with visitors in the main house which was unusual due to his policy of not bringing work duties home and letting people into the main house having greeted them we went upstairs leaving the twins to do their house chores , after my duty on my way to the twins room I overheard my dad and his visitors talking about investing hard currency, my elder sister marvella was already in the twins room assisting them with their assignment which have always been our routine and in built in us by our parents who taught us to always love, care , trust and help each other I joined her in assisting them and we finished in no time now telling each other how our day went she said she was surprised to see the visitors I told her about and what I overheard them discussing she said that maybe our father wants to invest in a lucrative  business which is good we drifted off to sleep.
Perceiving a sweet aroma, I woke up and my siblings were not in the room I walked out, into the kitchen to see my mom dishing out dinner with Stella our cook I hugged my mom who said she did not want to wake me up, dinner was served in the dining room and Micheal was asked to say a prayer before we could eat, having finished dinner my dad broke the news that he  got a deal to partner with H&C oil company, we had a toast to celebrate his new deals.
