We breathe heavily once we reached a small hut. I'm guessing this is his house. "Good... now let's go and hike. Your real test begins now" he said. I feel a drop of sweat rolling down the side of my head, as I stare at him in disbelief. All those running we've been doing weren't the actual test? We have to go hiking?? Oh, You've got to be kidding me.

-Is He Trying To Kill Us?-

Y/N P.O.V

Urokodaki-San didn't waste anytime to lead us up the mountain. The air here feels a lot tighter than the one back home. It makes it hard for us to breathe. How can someone stay in a place like this??

After what seems like forever, we finally reach the top of the mountain. Urokodaki-San turn around to face us. "I want you both to try and return to my hut by dawn. This time I won't be waiting for either of you" he said. As the mist moves by, he disappears.

"Is that it? We just have to find him?" I questioned, as I turn to look at Tanjiro. "Have you memorized his scent, Tanjiro?" I asked.

He turned to look at me and nod his head. "Yeah. I have. It should be easy for us to find our way back" he said. I hum softly at what he said and nod my head. He's take the lead as he starts running down the mountain.

"Tanjiro, look out!!" I warned, noticing something on the ground. But too late, he's already fallen through a pitch trap. I let out a sigh and walks up to him. "I knew this is not going to be simple. He had laid out traps all over the area. So we've got to be careful" I said. I offer my hand to him, allowing him to grab my hand. I pull him up and out of the hole.

"Yeah... you're right" he said, sighing while laying on the ground. He finally moves to stand up. "Come on" he said. He turned around and runs down the hill again.

He insisted to lead the way, despite I told him that I should. He claimed it's because he's the one who can sniff out Urokodaki-San's scent, telling me to just tell him where not to step. Even so, he'd still get caught in them. While I managed to avoid every single one.

I let Tanjiro wrap his arm around my shoulder as I help him walk. I slide the door open. Tanjiro leans against the door frame. "We're back, Urokodaki-San..." he said. His voice sounded strained and exhausted. I do feel tired. But I'm not in as bad shape as he is. I heave out a long sigh as I kneel on the ground.

I turn my head to look at Tanjiro who's knocked out cold from the exhaustion. I smile softly at him. I place my head on the side of his head, guiding it to rest on my shoulder instead. So he can be more comfortable. I turn my head to look at Urokodaki-San.

"You barely have any scratches on your body. Did you managed to avoid all the traps?" He asked. I just nod my head lightly. Despite not getting my body injured. I still feel tired. I close my eyes as I let myself drift off to sleep.

We're now standing by the cliff that leads to a waterfall. I feel my face getting pale when Urokodaki-San said he wants us to jump in. I turn my head to look at him. He can't be serious, right? Is he trying to kill us?

He walks up behind Tanjiro. He's clearly getting quite impatient seeing how we take so long. "Get in there!" He said, kicking Tanjiro's butt which sends him over the edge.

"Ahhhh! Nezuko!!! Y/N!!!" He yelled out as he falls into the water

"Ahhhh! Nezuko!!! Y/N!!!" He yelled out as he falls into the water. I let out a nervous laugh and turn my head to look at Urokodaki-San. I back away a little when I feel he wants to do the same with me.

"Uh... I'll jump in on my own" I said. I quickly jumps over the edge. I pinch my nose with my fingers to help block the air. I feel my body hits the water. I swim back up and let the current gently take me to the edge of the waterfall.

I lean my back against a giant boulder as I stare at the sky. "Damn... he really is planning on killing us..." I muttered softly to myself. I heave out a sigh as I close my eyes, trying to regain control of my breathing.

Time-skip

Urokodaki-San has instructed Tanjiro to go back up the mountain for his training. However, he asked me to stay back stating that he wants to discuss something with me. I'm not sure what he wants with me. But I listen to him as he is my trainer.

I'm now standing in front of him. "I'd like to test your reflects. So, you'll be having a different types of training" he said. I tilt my head in confusion. He lift his hand, and shows me that he's holding a sword. "Take this" he said. I walk towards him and grabs it. I turn my head to look at him. "I want you to try and knock me off my feet..." he said.

"Uh... okay?" I said. I take a stance and try to scan his posture for any opening. I lunges forward, to try and strike him. But he swiftly moves out of the way. Going against Urokodaki-San is different from Tomioka-San. But that's to be expected as Urokodaki-San is a trainer.

I'm the only one holding sword, while Urokodaki-San is bare-handed. As much as I'm worried that I might hurt him. I know that won't be possible. After all, he's a lot stronger than I am. How am I going to pull this off? Me? Against a trainer?

"Are you going to give up now?" He asked. I shake my head, letting him know that I can keep going. I drop my stance as I close my eyes. I take a deep breath and feel power surging through my body.

Urokodaki P.O.V

I watch as she closes her eyes, seemingly relaxing her muscles. My eyes widen underneath the mask as I watch a strange energy emitting from her body. Even the scent of her body changes into a stronger one. The aura that surrounds her body expands wider around her.

She opens her eyes as she stares at me with a look of determination

She opens her eyes as she stares at me with a look of determination. She takes a stance and the next thing I know, she just vanishes from my sight. I let out a gasp as I feel her presence behind me. I quickly turn around to grab her leg as she try to kick me.

"That's enough" I said. She stops her pace and relaxes. The aura surrounding her dissipating. She's visibly look tired as she breathe heavily. She drops on her knees. Her eyes rolls back a little and she falls to the side. I rush up to her and kneel down. She's knocked out cold.

But what was that? That strange aura around her body when she let herself relaxes. Her speed and strength visibly increases. It's like she's a whole different person. I've never seen anything like that before. Something is different about this girl. What is she?
