I don't want to seem arrogant. But I'm proud of my achievements so far. Who would have thought that I'd be able to be a Hashira in span of 2 months. My mind drift off to Tanjiro, wondering how he's doing. Did he manage to be a Slayer too? I hope I'd be able to see him soon.

-A Day Off-

Y/N P.O.V

Ever since I got promoted as a Hashira, missions after missions keeps coming. There's a lot of demons attacks all over the areas. Which means, I rarely have breaks and always going on missions. But either way, I do all the missions given to me wholeheartedly. In hope that one day, I'll be able to put an end to the existence of demons.

I swiftly jump out of the way to avoid getting hit by the demon's attack. I've been gaining speed and strength day by day. Now minor attacks on me doesn't have any effect at all.

I lunges towards the demon, and slice his head right off. I watch as his head rolls off on the ground before turning into ashes. I let out a huffed as I wipe my forehead from the sweat.

"A day off!! A day off!! After going on missions for days. You deserve a day off!!" The crow designated for me said. I turn my head to look at her as she lands on top of my head. I blink my eyes in surprise at what she said.

"A day off? Are you for real? After going on missions after missions..." I said. She nods her head, making me close my eyes as I heave out a sigh of relief. I could really use a day off. My body feels stiff after going on a lot of missions back to back. My body aches all over. "Thank goodness..." I mumbled to myself.

I make my way back to my Estate. They have arranged an Estate for me. Which means, I don't have to stay at the Butterfly Estate anymore.

As I walk, I hear someone calling my name. I stop and turn around to see it's Tokito-San. "Ah, Tokito-San" I said. He smiles as he stops walking when he's right in front of me. "Can I help you with something?" I asked.

"Still with the honorifics? You're a Hashira as well. Plus, we're both the same age. You can just call me Muichiro" he said. I blink my eyes at what he just said. He leans his face closer with me. "Say it... Mui-chi-ro" he said.

"M-Muichiro..." I said. He leans back a little, nodding his head in satisfaction. I just smile shyly at him. "So... is there anything I can do for you?" I asked.

"Not at the moment. But how are you feeling? You've just been promoted as a Hashira and missions already came pilling up on you" he said. I blink my eyes at his comment. I smile softly, realizing he's worried about my well-being.

"I'm doing fine, Muichiro... I just received a message from my crow that I will be having a break today. I don't have any mission to attend to" I said. He responded with a soft hum, nodding his head lightly. "Do you want to come to my Estate? I can prepare something for you to eat?" I suggested.

"Won't I be a bother? You'd like to rest, right?" He said, staring at me with a worried gaze. I just shake my head lightly. He smile softly and nod his head. "Okay then..." he said. I smile at him. We turn around and start to walk again, making our way to my Estate.

A While Later

After a while of walking, we finally reached my Estate. I push the door open, allowing Muichiro to enter. "What would you like to drink or eat?" I asked. He tells me his choice and I walk off to prepare them for him.

I walk back towards him, placing the food and drink in front of him. "Are you sure I won't be a bother?" He asked. I turn my head to look at him as he pick up the mug. I shake my head, assuring him that he won't be a bother. "Alright then... thanks for having me" he said, finally taking a sip.

"So... tell me more about yourself. After... you know. What happened to your family. Were you alone?" He said. I place my mug down and stare at the water in it. "Sorry... did I ask something sensitive?" He asked.

"No... well, I mean. Talking about my family is a quite a touchy subject" I said. He smiles apologetically at me, for bringing up that topic. "But, it's okay. I don't mind. And no... I'm not alone. I was taken in by a kind family. They've been treating me like I'm one of them" I said. I smile softly as I remember the Kamado family. A frown forms on my lips, making Muichiro tilt his head in confusion.

"But, they were killed by demons as well..." I said. He let out a gasp at what I said. "Which was what drove me to be a Slayer. I want to be able to protect more people from the terror created by those monsters" I said.

"And you've succeeded. You have became a Hashira. In a span of two months. You're just like how I was. I was also promoted as a Hashira after two months of intense training. So I kinda see myself in you when I watched you train" he said. I blink my eyes in surprise at what he said.

"Wow... and you scolded me for going too hard" I said. He let out a chuckle at my retort. I take a sip from the drink. "What about you? What was your childhood like?" I asked. He stays silent after I said that. He lower his head as he stares at his hand.

"I... can't remember" he said. I frown at what he said. Something traumatic must've happened to him, to the point he lost his memories. "I tried to remember what happened. But no matter how hard I tried. I just can't..." he said. I reach over the table, placing my hands on top of his.

"I'm sure one day, you'd be able to remember again..." I said, smiling softly at him. He looks down at our hands for a few seconds and turn to look at me. A soft smile appears on his face as his eyes softens.

"Thank you, Y/N..." he said. I give him a close-eyed smile. He gives my hand a light squeeze as if he's trying to express his gratitude for my words of comfort. Which makes my smile brighten. Everyone here must've also experienced something traumatic in their lives. It doesn't matter how different we are, or where we came from. We all share the same thing... pain and sorrow.
