"I do have to let you know. If we let her go on without consuming anything... she'll only grow weaker" she said. I froze at what she said, staring at her wide-eyed. Does that means... Y/N'll have to eat human's flesh or she'll die?

Tanjiro P.O.V

I clutch my shirt as I feel troubled with what Kocho-San had said. "Is there... really no other way for her to get better, Kocho-San?" I hear Tokito-Kun asked. I turn my head to look at him. He just asked the question that's been circling around in my mind.

"I'm afraid that I can't give you an answer to that..." she said. I lower my gaze and stared at the ground. I don't want Y/N to consume human's flesh. But if I didn't do anything about it, she'll die.

My mind drift off to Tamayo-San and Yushiro-San. I blink my eyes as I remember how those two survive even without eating humans. What if, Y/N only drinks human's blood. Will she survive?

"Kocho-San... Y/N-San has woken up" Naho-Chan said. She turned around and make her way inside the room. I step closer to the door as Tokito-Kun does the same. I watch as Kocho-San talks to Y/N. Y/N's face looks so pale. It hurts me to see her looking so weak and frail.

"You both can come in..." Kocho-San said. I make my way inside, followed by Tokito-Kun. I rush to stand next to the bed. I gently held her hand. She turn to look at me and smiles weakly. Tokito-Kun stands behind me as he stares at Y/N with a worried gaze.

"How are you feeling, Y/N?" Tokito-Kun asked. She turn her head to look at him who has moved closer to her side after Kocho-San moves out of the way. "A-Are you s-still in pain?" He asked.

"I'm okay... just a little tired" she said. I lift her hand, placing my cheek on the back of her hand. She turn her head to look at me. "Really, I'm fine..." she said, turning her hand so the palm of her hand is pressed against my cheek. Tears starts to stream down my cheeks. I wonder if she knows what's going on with her body.

She smiles sadly at me. "Kocho-San told me what will happen..." she said. Tears starts gathering in her eyes. "I've got to consume human's flesh... or I'm going to die, right?" She said.

"I'm sorry..." I said. She just hums softly at what I said. She gently wipe the tears from my eyes. "You wouldn't hurt anyone, right? So... what will you do?" I asked. She shakes her head lightly, letting me know that she doesn't know what to do. I bit my lips as I contemplate whether I should say it.

"M-Maybe, you can try just drinking human's blood?" I suggested. She stared at me in confusion, she probably wonders why I suggest something like that. "I... I don't know. Maybe it'll work?" I said.

"I'm scared, Tanjiro. What if I ended up getting addicted to human's blood, and it ended up slowly turning me into a demon?" She said. Tears starts gathering in her eyes. I can smell her emotion and right now, I smell the sense of fear.

"But if you don't try anything, you'll die, Y/N..." I said. I choke out a sob as I stare at her. She just gives me a small smile as if she's okay with it. "You can't do this to me... to Tokito-Kun. Are you okay with leaving the two of us, Y/N?" I said.

"Of course not... but, I don't wanna ended turning into a monster" she said. I let out a shaky breath. She's afraid that she'd turn into a full demon. Well, I'm scared that she would to turn into a demon too. But I'm more scared to lose her, and I'm sure Tokito-Kun have also have the same thought. But what can we do if Y/N refuses to? We can't force to do something she didn't want. What can we do for her?

Y/N P.O.V

I feel better after a few days resting in the hospital Ward, so Kocho-San said I should be okay to leave the hospital Ward. Tanjiro and Muichiro are both against it, claiming that I should be resting more. I assured them that I will be fine. Although, they're a bit hesitant, they still let me leave the Butterfly Estate.

I hear a soft cawing sound. I lift my head to see my crow flying above me. I lift my hand, allowing her to land on my arm. Seems like I have a mission to attend to. I turn my head to look at Muichiro and Tanjiro to see the two of them staring at me with a worried gaze.

"She just got better... and she already has to leave for a mission?" Tanjiro said. My crow turn to look at him. She flies towards him and start pecking on his head. "Ow! Ow! Ow!! Cut it out! I was just worried about her" he said, covering his head to try and protect himself.

"c/n! That's enough..." I said. She flies back towards me and lands on my arm. "It's okay, Tanjiro... Muichiro. I'm better now. So I can get going. I'm the Ice Hashira. I can't just slack off..." I said. They stare at me with a worried gaze.

"Can I come with her on this mission? I have nothing to do at the moment. Please?" Tanjiro asked. I turn my head to look at my crow. She let out a sigh and allows him to come. Tanjiro seems relieved about it. He turn to look at Muichiro. "Don't worry, Tokito-Kun. I'll be there to make sure she will be all right" he said.

"I'll leave her to you, Tanjiro. I would have volunteer to go with her. But I have my own mission to attend to..."Muichiro said. I smile softly at him. He turn his head to look at me. He steps closer to me, placing his hands on my shoulders. "Please be careful, okay?" He said. I just nod my head.

He pulls me into a hug, burying his face into the crook of my neck. "I love you, Y/N. Please make it back safety" he whispered, softly. I just nod my head lightly. I close my eyes as I slowly wrap my arms around him. I feel him tightening his embrace, giving me a gentle squeeze before finally pulling away completely.

"Take care, Y/N... Tanjiro" he said. Tanjiro nods his head. Muichiro turn to look at me and places a quick kiss on my forehead. I smile softly at his loving gesture. Tanjiro and I turn around, making my way to my Estate so I can prepare myself to go for this mission.
