Hello again.

The praetors names were Soledad and Abel. They took me to the principia, which is a big building for those in charge. I was completely healed and my armor was gone, and I stood before their big table. They each sat in a chair beside each other and stared at me.

"It's okay," Soledad said. "Just tell us what happened."

I recounted the story again, this time maintaining my composure because I wasn't so close to the nightmare. As I told it, I made sure to sound smart and a little less crazy, which didn't warrant so many insane looks. When I was finished, Soledad nodded and stared at a nearby flag.

"I suppose no one has told you yet," she said, "so I will." She stared at me. "The Titans are rising again."

I nodded uncomfortably. "Um, that's not good."

"No," she said, shaking her head. "Last summer..." She sighed. "I wasn't always praetor." Her partner put a hand on her shoulder. I realized I had never heard his voice. "Before me, there was a girl named Chandler. And... And she betrayed us."

Perhaps because her name was Chandler.

"She believed our way of life was unfair," Soledad said. "That we were too ignored by our parents, and that the time for the gods' supreme authority was over. Some legionnaires turned to her side. Some have disappeared." She frowned. "Either way, she's trying to raise Saturn from Tartarus."

I trembled. "S-Saturn? The one that ate his kids?"

Soledad nodded. "Yes. But now that you're reporting that minor gods are turning..."

Her partner tapped her shoulder and signed something. I knew he wasn't deaf, because he reacted to his name and sounds, but I suppose he simply didn't speak.

Soledad suddenly snapped her head to me. And she was mad. "Wait a damn minute. Your father is Michael Drema."

I stood, frozen and wide-eyed. "I don't associate with him that much."

"Still..." She rose and glared at me. "This is suspicious." Her counterpart signed something. "You happened to put someone to sleep on the battlefield."

"I didn't mean to. I was just hoping she wouldn't get back u-"

"And you happened to fall down a mysterious hole with the only other new legionnaire," she snapped. "Both in the disgraced fifth legion."

I felt really awkward. "I- I don't know all about the politics here, and I really d-"

A knock at the door interrupted me. It opened, and a pretty blonde girl with rainbow ends trotted forward and handed something to Abel and Soledad. They dismissed her, and she gave me a dirty look as she left and slammed the door.

"What do you know," Soledad mumbled. She looked up at me. "Nobody can seem to find the tunnel you're talking about."

I blinked in shock. "Uh-oh."

"Uh-oh indeed," Soledad snapped. "Do you have any idea what you've done?"

"Wait! But- But Reyna can vouch for-"
