The following day, you finished your classes and headed to the usual classroom. You found yourself feeling a bit apprehensive after experiencing Shu's high levels of irritation yesterday, but you knew that the longer you sat around and waited until you were mentally prepared things would grow increasingly awkward.
You turned the door handle and crept into the room, finding it empty. There were several fabrics sprawled across the tables, the whole room being in a state of complete disarray. You let out a sigh of relief upon realizing that this was likely a result of a burst of motivation that Shu had experienced which meant he would probably be in a decent enough mood when he came back.
During your lessons with him he had taught you how he organized his dresses and fabrics, so you decided to kill some time by cleaning up the clutter he left behind.
After around an hour the room appeared decently maintained, but Shu was still nowhere to be found. You had told Jun that you would talk with Shu today in an attempt to raise your tolerance of irritable people, however if he didn't show up there would be no point.
Pulling out your phone, you sent him a short message saying that you were waiting for him. Maybe I'll just rest until then.
. . .
You blearily opened your eyes to see that the classroom was tinted with a faint orange hue, signifying that a decent amount of time had passed since you had nested your head in your arms. Looking up, you saw a familiar figure hard at work across from you. Subconsciously you let out a small smile upon seeing his brow furrowed with concentration.
"Good morning Itsuki."
"It can hardly be considered morning anymore," he replied without glancing away from his work.
"That's true," you conceded, brushing some dust off of your uniform. He doesn't seem to be angry. You decided it would be best to just breach the topic. "Would it be alright for me to talk about yesterday?"
"What about it?"
You paused, a bit hesitant because of his relatively cold response. "Well I was thinking about what you said and I wanted to hear your thoughts. What exactly is it that you want from me?"
Shu irritably stood up, shoving his chair backwards with a screech. "I have no interest in discussing this with you. I have told you many times that you are to serve as my marionette."He made to head out the door but you grabbed his wrist just as he had done to you the previous day. "'Do not end our conversation on such an inconclusive note.'" You copied his words from yesterday down to the way he spat out every syllable. "You don't get to end our conversation unless we reach a mutual conclusion."
This was the first time you had initiated physical contact with him and he appeared to be shocked for a split second before anger took over his features. "You have no right to speak to me that way, girl! The extent of your insolence is truly baffling, I cannot comprehend—"
