Shu threaded the needle in one attempt—such a feat that others might think of as irritating had become habitual in his mind. He wanted to adjust the right-hand sleeve on one of the outfits he had created for an upcoming show as Kagehira's version was slightly uneven with the cuff on the right going a bit too far down in comparison to the left. He had asked (Y/n) to stop by after classes so that he could test a new dress on her, but with how callous and rude she could be he didn't particularly expect for her to actually show up.

The one thing he could give her credit for was her dedication to classwork and academics, but that was really all. Precisely one week had passed since he had seen her last (when they went shopping), and Shu wasn't particularly unenthused to see her again. In fact, it would be nice to have someone to act as a model for the dresses that he wanted to put on.

Kagehira was in the room with him, practicing his own sewing on a small teddy bear. Shu paid him no mind and tried to regear his attention to sewing rather than thinking about such trivial matters.

Rather than that...after this I must make sure that Kagehira has done the suitable amount of preparations for the upcoming show.

Although he hated thinking back to their loss to fine, it couldn't be denied that since then they had taken to smaller spaces and avoided the competitive space. The idea of returning back and seeing the smug expression on Tenshouin Eichi's face was repulsive: it simply wasn't plausible for Valkyrie to return.

For his own world to come crashing down before him, that in itself was—

"Teach?" Kagehira's concerned voice snapped him out of his spiral. His heterochromic eyes were staring at him worriedly, but to Shu it felt more like he was being probed. "Are you okay? You were starin' into space for a moment there with a really irritated look on yer face."

Normally he wouldn't bring up such things so that meant that he must have let his thoughts take over again...how bothersome.

"It was nothing. Simply a single mild pestering situation amongst the rest," Shu dismissed Kagehira with a wave of his hand.

A few moments later, (Y/n) opened the doors and entered the room with her school bag slung over her shoulder. Shu cast her a small glance when she entered the room before continuing his work.

"Good afternoon," she let out a sigh and sat down into one of the chairs whilst pulling a few materials from her bag.

"Yer office hours finished already?" Kagehira asked her, tilting his head to the side inquisitively.

"I only had a few questions to ask so it didn't take very long," (Y/n) said with a voice tinged with relief, "that teacher tends to go on excessive rants about any topic in particular but today he had some mercy. Kagehira, could you come here and look at this?"

Shu heard Kagehira get up from his chair and walk over to her to observe whatever she was talking about. Curiosity pricked at the back of his mind but he forced it out of his mind, continuing to hem the sleeve carefully. He allowed their voices to fade into the background.
